First, this paper introduces folk women's garment separately inMinnan,Jiangnan,Wannan area, combined with intuitive illustrations as control. Based on the analysis and investigation of these garment varieties, a comparative study on differences and similarities of coat, trousers ,skirt system ,skirt in three areas is carried out. From decoration technology, the paper sums up six kinds of habitual craft methods. From color, it sums up color characteristics of garment in each region according to the principle of color, including the most widely-used color and clothing color matching. From material, it concludes commonly used fabrics of different garment varieties in each period.Based on the summary and comparison of folk women's clothing varieties and elements in three area, clothing specific data is obtained through actual measurements and contrast. Focusing on the cause of formation of these costumes , the paper deploy from these sides, such as external environment (natural environment, production mode) , emotional factors (aesthetic, customs, beliefs), inheritance (lateral impact ,vertical transmission), functionality and so on. Thus, the paper concludes the difference of garment varieties and styles in different climate and natural environment, and further reaches a law of formation of garment modeling in certain environmentFolk women's clothing in the three areas had impact on modern fashion. It is so-called "use its best" to absorb , develop and use the excellent folk garment elements. It has a certain degree of practical significance both for the protection of the traditional culture and for a supplement of modern clothing styles.
