A Study On The Eco-human Issue In View Of The Social Harmony

It is required by the developmental goal of social harmony the human being should evolve towards the ecological and harmonious orientation. The process of human's evolution bears a close relationship with and corresponds with that of cultural development. The evolvement of human being involves the stage of natural human where man and nature are unified voluntarily, the stage of moral human where moral criteria are pursued and the stage of economy human where the maximal economic interest is pursued. Now it has developed into the new stage of ecological human featured by the harmony between man and nature.Recently excessive behaviors of economic humans have led to the global ecological crisis, which is caused by humans and has to be solved by humans. It requires radical changes of men in ideology and manner of behavior from the stage of economic human to that of eco-human.Compared with economic human, an eco-human should have adequate ecological and ethic background and knowledge about ecological environment which matches with their professional activities and ways of living. As the practicer of ecological moral, an eco-human pursues such kind of ways of thinking and behaving as conforming to the ecological principles so as to realize his development in all respects. The eco-human consists of four basic elements: ecological awareness, ecological conscience, ecological rationality and ecological personality. It also has five basic characteristics: ecological wisdom, limited rationality, systematic thinking, thoughts of harmony and ultimate solicitude. The eco-human is the demand of harmonious development of our society and also the inevitable trend of human evolution.The formation of eco-human involves a gradual process from the initial stage, the devious developmental stage and the mature stage. The formation of eco-human requires certain kinds of external and internal conditions. It has the Marxist theories of ecological philosophy as its theoretical basis, has the development of productivity as its physical conditions and also needs a systemic guarantee and a specific ecological cultural atmosphere. The final formation depends on the human's ecological awareness and their radical changes in values and manners of behaviors.The study on eco-humans aims at enriching and developing the Marxist theories on human's comprehensive development. To realize the change from the economic human to the eco-human is the best solution to the ecological crisis and the concrete embodiment of the realization of the goal of social harmony.
