| "Harmony of Nature and Human" is a main aspect in the relation theory between Man and Nature in Chinese philosophy, and Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human" occupies an important position. Recently, with the occurrence of increasingly serious global environmental crises, Chinese scholars have made quite a lot of reviews and excavation work on Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human" and have made quite useful reflection. However, scholars rarely discuss the connotation of Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human" and its value on solving the current environmental problems from the view angle of the environment, and thus it is necessary to make a deep study. For this reason, in this thesis, guided by Marxist dialectic materialism and historical materialism, by applying the method of combining history with arguments, based on absorbing others' results, attempts are made to formulate the basic connotation of Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human" from the perspective of environmental problems. The real situation of crises in realistic human ecological environment is also integrated so that their meanings of thinking about environmental problems can be disclosed. In this thesis, first, a philosophical reflection is made on the contemporary environmental problems. It is pointed out in the thesis that the one-sided view of Nature splits up the unity between Man and Nature and the unity of various kinds of value in Nature, and leads to the opposition of Man and Nature. The one-sided view of interests is only concerned about local interests and pays no attention to the overall interests. Immediate interests are only thought of and long-term interests are paid no attention to, and all this has led to the deterioration of the environment. One-sided development methods are based on the one-sided understanding of development, unsustainable production and consumption modes are adopted, and the result is that it is difficult to solve environmental problems. Then, in this thesis, Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human" is examined and attempts are made to excavate valuable ideas from them. Based on generalization, it is pointed out in the thesis that though Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human" has quite rich contents, viewing from the viewpoint of environmental problems, it contains a perspective on Nature concerning the harmony and unity of Man and Nature, and Nature having harmony and unity of many kinds of value. They also contain a perspective on interests that lies in putting more emphasis on overall interests than on local ones and paying more attention to long-term interests than on immediate ones. Furthermore, they contain the perspective of development. The goal of development lies in multiplying endlessly and development methods lie in participation and cultivation.At the end of the thesis, meanings of Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human" for solving current environmental problems are treated. It helps to deepen people's understanding of the dialectic unity relationships between Man and Nature and the understanding of the unity of various kinds of value in Nature. It is helpful for people to establish a dialectic and unified perspective of nature. It helps people to correctly handle relationships between local interests and overall interests, between immediate interests and long-term interests and to establish the dialectic and unified perspective of interests. It is helpful for people to establish a perspective of sustainable development, the sustainable production and consumption should be adhered to and the sustainable development can be realized. Based on excavating the "rational kernel" contained in Confucian idea on "Harmony of Nature and Human", its historical limitation is also pointed out in the thesis. I think it is necessary to combine its thinking essence with the realistic social life, levels of science and technology and the development requirements so as to solve environmental problems. |
