| Nowadays, clothing is being developed to be more convenient to suit the quick-tempomodern life. The elastic fabric has its own specific characteristics such as free flexibilityand being comfortable which are catering to the modern people's chasing comfortable,pleasant, convenient and fast life. Therefore the clothes of elastic fabric are extensivelyloved and dressed by the consumers, and it has become one of the mainstream products ofclothing materials.In the clothing business, there's no systematic, theoretical and practical guidanceknowledge system for fashion design of elastic fabric and production. The research on thefashion design of elastic fabric helps us to understand deeply and grasp the specificcharacteristics of many kinds of elastic fabric and their influence to clothing. We canchoose elastic fabric for fashion design reasonably and really make the most of the specificcharacteristics of the fabric. Then we can design according to the material and achieve thewonderful match between design and clothing material.This article analyses systematically the relationship between many elastic fabric'sspecific characteristics and fashion design's sectors; raises some relevant handlingmeasures for design style, variety position, modeling, pattern details, structure and craft ofelastic fabric with different characteristics; sums up a series of regular patterns about allthe sectors of the systematic design for elastic fabric as well as forms a set of completeknowledge system providing references for clothing major teaching and the clothingdesign and production. The existing and further-research achievements can help designersto make better designs for elastic fabric and have strong practical guidance effect, thusimproving fashion design's productive efficiency and economic benefit for elastic fabric. |
