Research On The Application Of Denim Fabric In Contemporary Fashion Design

Denim fabrics have a history of more than 100 years.They have gone from industrial materials to apparel fabrics,from primitive rough to modern fine development.At the beginning of the last century,denim fabrics began to be used for apparel production.In the 1950 s,denim fabrics appeared in China,and since reform and opening up,denim fabrics became popular.The styles of denim fabrics produced from large-scale industrial production were single and difficult to meet market demand and people’s desire for a better life.In the context of contemporary multiculturalism,people’s expectations for denim clothing are getting higher and higher.Therefore,the design of denim clothing should break the routine,and integrate personalization,artistic,functional and fashion organically,so that denim fabric becomes an indispensable "fashion element" in clothing design,and enhance the new added value of contemporary clothing.The application of denim fabric in contemporary clothing is mainly reflected in the design of fabric reconstruction.With the rapid development of textile technology,the quality of denim fabric is more superior and the categories are more abundant.The redesign of denim fabric can increase the beauty,artistry,fashionability,and functionality of denim clothing,thus expressing the connotation of humanities and art and functional fashion through the language of clothing.Re-examine the denim fabric from the aspects of fashion aesthetics,individual functions and process design,pioneering and innovating,and integrating culture,fashion,and function into the design,so that denim fabric clothing can play its due role in improving people’s life quality and enriching people’s spiritual and cultural life.
