On Seeking For Environment Ethics In The Development And Governance Of Poyang Lake

Poyang Lake, located in the north of Jiangxi Province, is a broad and rare area. She is a relatively harmonious ecological model of the relationship between man and nature. However, the issue of environmental ethics between man and lakes begins to manifest, with the rapid pace of urbanization and industrialization in recent years, and the new governance and development of Poyang Lake. After listed various human activities and reflected on issues such as environmental laws and developmental policies, the production and life of local residents, the tourism of outside tourists, and the research of wetlands of lakes, this paper tries to analyze some representative environment moral issues. Taking Poyang Lake as a typical case, this research aims at exploring a modern access from the theory to the practice of environmental ethics.The full text is divided into six chapters.Introduction, the first chapter, summarizes the former research of the regional Environmental Ethics and introduces the background and purpose, the theoretical and practical value, the basic ideas, methods, innovation and deficiency of this thesis..Chapter II, the Lake Life: About an ethics spirit of Poyang. Poyang Lake, a charming Mother Lake, has a long tradition of environmental moral. We should try to maintain the healthy life of Poyang Lake by a kind of new morality and care. Mother Lake deserves the dignity and the right of life which can not be deprived.Chapter III, protection and development: Fight between the people's interest and the environment of Poyang Lake. Nowadays, different people have different value appeal in the development and government of Poyang Lake, which leads to the ignorance of environmental ethics.Chapter IV, Ignorance of ethic: Analysis of the current environment laws of Poyang Lake. Today, people advocate to dealing with environment by the rule of law. However, once the behaviors and activities are not fair in procedures, fairness in entity will lose its value of harmony between man and lake, which is far away with environmental justice. All of these will lead to the deficiency in environmental protection.Chapter V, harmony of man and lake: On protection of Poyang Lake ruled by environmental morality. By sorting out some academic differences in Environmental Ethics, we should throw over pointless argument, construct people-oriented, harmonious goal of protection, which is ruled by environmental morality. Chapter VI, eco-gospel: Viewing the environment of Poyang by group ethics. The chapter introduces some different forms of environmental ethics, and environmental responsibility of different social subject.Finally, the conclusion shows: When developing the lake resources and protecting the lakes wetlands, laws,policies,research,production and life should be people-oriented. In order to accelerate the birth of harmonious lake, people should establish the values and ideals of environmental justice, and reinforce the construction of environmental morality.
