Study On The Coupling Relation Between The Natural Disaster And The Socio-economic Activity In Chongqing

As one kind of tension and conflict state between the society and the natural contradictory, the natural disaster is a product which the nature and the socio-economic activity affect mutually. It produces with humanity's production and changes with the growth of population, the progress of the science and technology , the society as well as the breadth and the depth of humanity's use of the natural resources. Chongqing is one of the most serious areas, where there are many disasters with various type, high frequency, big intensity, high ratio, low resilience for disaster. The natural disaster not only causes huge economic loss and personnel casualty every year, affects seriously the socio-economic development and the political stability, but also destroys the human-natural harmony in Chongqing. As a result, the natural disaster becomes the great restrictive factor for the sustainable development of the social, the economy and the resources-environment in Chongqing. Therefore, it has both the theorical and practical significances to strengthen the natural disaster research, analyze the coupling relation between the natural disaster and the socio-economic activity, promulgate the essence of the natural disaster in Chongqing.Based on the sociological theory, the geographic information system technology and the analytic hierarchy process, this article studies the coupling relations of the natural disaster and the socio-economic activity in Chongqing which covers mainly the following several aspects from the qualitative and quantitative angles.1) The author analyzes the research development,results,problems and its trends in the field and sets his own research direction and scope accordingly based on study of the relevant literature at home and abroad.2) The article discusses the sociological nature of the natural disaster from the angles of the environmental sociology, the welfare sociology, the development sociology and analyzes the relations between the natural disaster and the socio-economic activity applying of the sociological theory, which deepenes the understanding of the natural disaster social essence.3) The article summarizes the situation and charactors of the natural disaster, analyzes the geographic and the humanities factors of the natural disaster in Chongqing, elaborates the effects of the social driving force on the natural disaster.4) According to the theory of the natural disaster and the socio-economic activity relations, the article discusses the socio-economic influence of natural disaster, analyzes the restrictive function of natural disaster on the socialty and the economy in Chongqing.5) Using geographic information system technology and analytic hierarchy process theory, the article establishes preliminarily the coupling model of the natural disaster and the socio-economic activity, and analyzes systematically the appraisal system and the method of socio-economic activity intensity and the region disaster damage modulus, manufactures the maps of the socio-economic activity intensity pattern and the natural disaster damage modulus pattern,analyzes the coupling relations between the natural disaster and the socio-economic activity from the quantitative angle in Chongqing.6) On the basis of the coupling analysis between the natural disaster and the socio-economic activity, the article proposes the social strategy which reduces and resists disaster according to the notion that the disaster reduction behavior should be socialized.
