The emission of SO2 had inflicted severe acid rain pollution, along with that it is so regrettable for China such a country with a lack of sulfur in which gigantic sulfur resources had been wasted. So expediting R&D of flue gas desulfurization and recovery technology had been becoming one of urgent requirements for constructing the harmonious society. Activated carbon flue gas desulfurization technology which possessed upstanding potential application can desulfur form flue gas, and simultaneously withdrawal sulfur resources. The key problems of this technology lain in conditions of desulphurising process.desulphurizer and desulfurization reactor. In this paper ,a new type desulphurizer--spherical activated carbon(SAC)was studied through hot mold experiment and hydrodynamic experiment etc. This paper examined on desulphurizing ability of spherical activated carbon and its hydrodynamic behaviour in reactors .The result of this paper can offer some technical reliance and guidance for industrialization of spherical activated carbon flue gas desulfurization technology. In this paper, spherical activated carbon from furfural residue had been preparated, and phenolic resin was used as adhesive. The processing conditions and its hydrodynamics behaviour inreactor have been studied. The result as follows:1 .Though the mold experiment,we found that the desulphurizing ability of SAC was superior to that of GAC-C.
