| Nature Reserve is to protect the natural resources and the environment, save endangered species, an important base for scientific research; it has important significance of human society. As the ecological crisis has worsened, the management of nature reserves has become a complex and urgent issue. WebGIS has been widely used to publish various'spatial-related information'through internet, and its application fields are very extensive. Apply WebGIS technology to the nature reserve resource survey, management and professional applications work, will not only provide reserve managers with detailed information services, but also give the public a quick and easy means to ask for relevant information.This paper studies the design of Nature Reserves WebGIS Information System, laid the foundation for building Nature Reserve. This paper mainly studies the following two issues:building nature reserves database, storage and manage Nature Reserve's spatial and attribute data; developing a WebGIS-based information system, realize the nature reserve information retrieval, statistical analysis, data sharing and other functions. Following GIS design specifications, after finishing demand analysis, this paper analyzes the system's overall design, database design, functional design, etc.; and finally details the system implementations.Nature Reserve WebGIS's application will promote the operation and management of protected areas to better perform its research, tourism and other functions, to promote the harmonious development of protected areas. This study has achieved some results, but there is still some work to be done, such as further enrich the contents of the database, enhance the system's analysis capabilities, reduce system costs, etc.
