The Designing And Planing Of The Everest National Nature Reserve's Eco-tourism WebGIS System

Everest National NatureReserve is the highest nature protection area in the world. We designed a set of Eco-tourism WebGIS system which can provide management and service with the advanced computer technology and Web GIS technology, In order to enhances and developing the managing level of the Eco-tourism.This application system is based on the WEB. Its objective is to make people understand the resource of the area through Network, It can provide many kind of information which needed to the people that is self-help traveling, the order of service, the arrangement of traveling, and traveling-map, and so on.The system uses the browser/server pattern, Which reflects the tourism situation to the browser mainly through the electronic map of Everest National NatureReserve; It is composed by the data management module, the system maintenance module, the data maintenance module, the special chart charting module and the self-service traveling module. It has character of appropriate,stability,extendibility and reusability.The system is designed of standard depend on OGC. It is redeveloped with. NET based on Geomedia WebMap, and its homepage is design with the technology of ASP. NET which belongs Microsoft. To improve efficiency of the browser and perfect the client experience, we used the technology of AJAX which include XMLHttpRequest,JavaScript,CSS,XML and so on.Various format spatial data are translated,deal with,managed with GeoMedia, and transplanted to the ORACLE Database.Now, the system has entered the stage of integrated and test, and the result is well. The function of each part is realized fine, especially on these aspect: the determination of traveling line, the production of traveling map, the information inquiry, which could satisfy the basic request to the self-serve tourist.
