Preliminary Study On Taxonomy Of Lichen Genus Candelaria Massal And Candelariella Müell. Arg. In Mts. Tianschan From Xinjiang

The study of the Lichen Genus Candelaria and Candelariella in Xinjiang are performed on the basis of identification of more than 300 specimens by using analysis method of morphology,anatomy,geography,chemical methods (color test, microcrystal test, thin-layer chromatography) and ecology.During the study of the Lichen Genus Candelaria and Candelariella in Xinjiang,1species of Candelaria ,13 species of Candelairella have been founded. Among these species,8 species new to China were reported: Candelariella efflorescens,Candelariella antennaria,Candelariella immarginata,Candelariella aggregata,Candelariella coralliza,Candelariella lutella,Candelariella spraguei,Candelariella rosulans,and 2 species new to Xinjiang: Candelariella vitellina and Candelariella kansuensis .Keys to species of Candelariella are presented, and each species is provided with detailed description and records on morphology, anatomy, chemistry, habitat and distribution in Xinjiang. Distribution maps for 1 species of Candelaria and 13 species of Candelariella are also provided.The geographical analysis of genus Candelariella Mull.Arg that the following seven elements can be divided :Circumpolar boreal species ,Western North American species and Circumpolar arctic alpine species ,American Arctic and Ggreenland species ,Special species in China ,cosmopolitan species ,uncertained,According to species of Candelariella selectivity and adaptability to the substratum and difference of substratums ,it can be divided to four ecological types : living on the rock , bark and branch ; living in the earth surface and in the rotten wood.
