Geological condition in Gansu is complex,the type of landforms is varied,the differences of climate is quiet large which lead to many kinds of geological calamities,extensive area,high frequency,powerful intensity,these all directly affect and danger to road constructure and its structures's safty,economy,steady,and endurance,so,firstly,the aim of developing road natural subside is understanding and revealing the distributing of time and the law of regional change of all kinds of geological calamities in Gansu to furnish the evidence for road design,plan and constructure.Secondly,provide the basic photograph for natural subside. Thirdly,provide important scientifical evidence for preventing and reducing the road disaster,protecting the environment,lay a theory foundation for natural subside of Gansu road.In the research of geological disastrous subside,first,according to the aim of subside, establish the unified principle,method and the index system,define the scope and content of collecting information.Second,Collecting relevant documents,in accordance with the frame of informational system,build different data base of disastrous information and draw up 1:2 million dividing method of the kind of disastrous landslide,mud-rock flow,loess sink,salinized soil,sand blown by the wind,earthquake and so on.Then according to the disastrous subside principle(general principle,basic principle,professional principle),subside method(order method,leading mark method,map-making method,old-geographical method) define to adopt the second grade unit system integrated with practical situation of road constructure and the complex degree of geological disaster considering the simple and convenience of practical using.Grade 1 geological disastrous subside is called area and grade 2 is called second-area.However,index system of subside to grade 1 area adopt the two qualitative index to divide that is the form condition and the type of geological calamity. Grade 2 subside is to further divide on the base of grade 1,divided by the comprehensive quantitative index and use the index of geological disastrous degree and growth index, research and describe the disastrous feature and law of different subside unit to compute the appraising index of disastrous grade——comprehensive disastrous index,draw up 1:2 million map of geological calamity subside in Gansu.To inflect the features and differences of subside when name of geological disastrous subside,use three-section name method,grade 1 area using:geographical position+ second-grade 1 landform unit(disastrous degree)+second-area,for example:the region of geological calamity in plateau disastrous second-area,Liupanshan-Guanshan disastrous second-area and the four disaster second-area.The road geological disastrous subside is discussed and explored from the flowing three aspect:1) It is the first time that put forward the technical road-line,principle,method,grade unit system and the method of drawing up the map of research of geological disastrous subside,work out seven kinds of distributing map and subside map of geological calamity of Gansu road.2) It is the first time to put forward and build up quantitative index in geological calamity subside,that is the assembling degree and growth index of geological calamity which makes the research of road natural subside transform from the qualitative to the quantitative.3) The geological disastrous subside is divided and it is divided four geological disastrous area,20 geological disastrous second-area,explain each of them.
