Nowadays, the ability to solve realistic problems by computational methods becomes more and more important for science and technology graduates. As the professional course, college physics should give students preliminary training of thought and study methods. But, there are many drawbacks in today's college physics' course and teaching methods. The teaching methods are outdated and college physics teaching couldn't play its role fully in cultivating students' abilities of learning and creating, and promoting students' scientific quality.Guiding undergraduate using computer to do numerical simulation in college physics teaching is a new characteristics of computer assisted college physics teaching, and it is the combining product of computer and the college physics. Firstly, from the perspective of numerical simulation assisted college physics teaching, base on the learning theory of cognition, the theory of constructivism, the theory of psychology and the theory of college physics teaching, the application of these theories to the numerical simulation assisted college physics teaching is analyzed for the author's point of view in this paper. Secondly, this paper introduces nine representative samples developed by the author in five physics fields, such as mechanics, thermotics, optics, electromagnetics, atomics, and dose some probe on the numerical simulation assisted college physics teaching, showing advantage of numerical simulation method in the course of solving the difficult physics problem. Two points above are also the innovation of this paper.The thesis is divided into three main parts as follows: The first part is general discussion of numerical simulation assisted college physics teaching. The study goal and the significance of this paper are brought out in chapter one and introduction part, based on the analysis of drawbacks in today's college physics' course and college physics' teaching introduction of the background and current situation. Chapter two gives some discussion on the necessity and the feasibility about it. Then, it comes to the conclusion that by introducing numerical simulation to physics teaching in college, the undergraduate can not only get further understanding about the knowledge of college physics, but also their ability in solving practical problems is improved. By analyzing the college computer establishment and the computer skill of the undergraduate in our country, it comes to the conclusion that introducing numerical simulation to physics teaching in college is feasible in our country. Chapter three of the dissertation describes the learning theory of cognition, the theory of constructivism, the theory of psychology and the theory of college physics teaching, and taking these theories as instructions, and college physics teaching based on numerical simulation has been designed in chapter four.The second part introduces the numerical simulation in the physics problem-solving paradigm by MATLAB. Technique of numerical simulation is introduced into the college physics' course and teaching. Using MATLAB software as a study tool, students can master the basic conceptions and contents of college physics by their own exploration and study, and they also can improve their abilities in studying college physics by computing and simulation functions of computer. It avoids the complex analytic calculating process so as to reduce the difficulty of the study, the simulation result is converted into eyeable images, and provide a convenient method for analyzing and researching the physics field, muster students' study activity and zeal, develop his brain and culture his exploring and study ability.In the end of this article makes a conclusion of this study, point out the shortages and makes a prospect of development about the study.In this paper, the conclusions have been made to give some suggestion on the numerical simulation assisted college physics teaching. This paper advocate that teacher inducts undergraduate using computer to do numerical simulation in college physics teaching, it is not the meaning that the numerical simulation is replace for the existing teaching mode, the existing teaching method and the existing teaching content, but is the meaning of providing a kind of method of using computer to settle problem for the physics learning of undergraduate, and give some practical reference for numerical simulation assisted college physics teaching.
