Research And Implementation Of WebGIS System Base On JSF

Geographic information system(GIS) takes geographical space information data base as basis,and provides various space information and dynamic geographical information.Based on all kinds of geographical analysis methods,GIS could further supply necessary geographical information for geographical research and decision. But as a technological platform integrated with spatial information,GIS application fields have been expanded from initial geographical field to wide information service fields.With fast improvement of compute technology,appearance of network technology and mature of GIS research,GIS technology has been used more and more in ordinary life,and people begin to be familiar with GIS.On the contrary, traditional GIS is a relatively enclosed,independent system with few channels for information share,while it is too complicated in processing,limiting its application to few special areas.With the development of Internet technology,Web-GIS technology will be used in ordinary life as one pragmatic tool like Internet itself in the near future.In fact, thanks to Web-GIS,enterprise/department workers could set their own intranet Web-GIS,so GIS could be widely used in scientific institutions,government departments,and enterprises.Although spatial analysis function of Web-GIS software is rarely satisfied with professional need,yet since Web-GIS has been one kind of solution which is easy to maintain for distributed GIS,Web-GIS finally will substitute traditional GIS with the development of technology.This thesis made deep research on the realization of thin client/fat server Web-GIS structure,based on MapXtreme Java.The main advantage of thin client model lies in the small network transmission,while clients have poor interaction with server in this model.To improve interaction between clients and server,this theme developed one system based on JSF(one kind of JAVA structure).So now this system owned rich interaction between clients and server while it was efficient in network transmission.First,this theme introduced Web-GIS and JSF.Then it made deep research on the principals of MapXtreme Java and the developmental process based on JSF.Further,based on real project,this theme focused on the realization of interactive and high efficient Web-GIS system,which is based on the thin client and solved its problem(poor interaction between clients and server) by the use of JSP technology.
