In recent years, the self-access learning, as an important topic in contemporary education, is greeted with more and more attention. The studies concerning self-access teaching theory have made fruitful achievements home and abroad. The self-access learning, as a way of studying, contributes to improving college students' scores in major and will benefit their study in their whole life as well, which lays a solid foundation for their future development. Therefore, it's needy to conduct such a study on how to cultivate students' self-access learning ability in teaching college physics.Based on the theory of subjectivity, constructionist, and physics teaching method, this thesis attempts to make a tentative study of cultivating the self-access learning ability. The author of this paper applies the following ways into study, such as bibliographical list, surveys, questionnaires and so on.This thesis consists of five parts. Chapter One firstly defines self-access learning and its characteristics, then explores its theoretical basis, significance and feasibility. Chapter Two examines the elements which influence students' self-access learning ability. Chapter Three makes an investigation and analysis of the present situations existing in students' physics self-access learning. Based on this, Chapter Four considers how to cultivate students' physics self-access learning ability. Take the class-teaching as an example, Chapter Five makes a further exploration and applies it into practice.
