| During the new curriculum reformation, inquiry teaching is considered to be an important teaching and learning method, and it has the advantage to cultivate students'scientific ways and scientific attitude. However, one of the most important factors influencing inquiry teaching is teacher's scientific inquiry ability. The biology normal students, as the future biology teachers, are the new born power that carries the reform in education and spare power of the new curriculum. The investigator tried to discuss comprehensively, thoroughly and carefully the questions involving to the current training of biology normal students'scientific inquiry ability, thus provided the effective support for the biology normal education and the elementary education curriculum reform's balanced coordinative development.On the basis of consulting a large number of document survey by the way of document summarization, the investigator made a thorough inquiring of the main contents, connotation and enlightenment on inquiry and scientific inquiry ability training, moreover, the investigator researched the factors influencing the development of biology normal students'scientific inquiry ability, and determined the primary meaning of"biology normal students'scientific inquiry ability training", Using the questionnaire method, the investigator worked out a questionnaire to survey the current training of the scientific inquiry ability of the college students studying in normal Universities. The surveyed people were up to seventy-four teachers and one hundred and seventy-eight seniors majoring in biology education, who were from three different Universities of southwest region of China. In addition, the investigator utilized the SPSS and the EXCEL statistics software to analyze the investigation data. Every surveyed is asked to complete a questionnaire concerning teachers'understanding of background of the curriculum reformation, teachers'attitude to inquiry and their views of the knowledge and inquiry, teachers'pedagogy in the University ,normal students'demand of school work, educational resources and facility use situation, and so on. It indicated that the current training of biology normal students'scientific inquiry ability was unoptimistic. Some results of the investigation were as follows: (1)The educational ideas of normal teachers lagged comparatively, and didn't follow the development of social requirement; (2) The problems of normal students'inquiry skill training included shortage of teachers'instruction and scarcity of teachers'guidance; (3) The method of teaching was humdrum, and the way of learning was outdated; (4) The formation of normal students'study work was monotonous, and the way of inquiry activities was insufficient; (5) Teachers spent a little time in inquiry activities; (6) The utilized rate of education resources and the facilities was low. According to the result of investigation, the investigator discussed and analyzed further the existing problems of biological education in the normal Universities, and proposed three principles of training of biology normal students'scientific inquiry ability, including independent principle,practical principle and pointed principle. In order to develop the normal students'scientific inquiry ability, enable them to meet the needs of the new curriculum reformation, the author offered some countermeasure and advice based on the biological specialize course offered in the normal University,the training of teachers,the test evaluation reform and the additional education resource and so on. Moreover, the author gave some suggestions on teacher's education idea,the teaching behavior's transformation and the instruction of scientific inquiry ability. |
