The present dissertation deals with the systematics of Lonchopteridae from China. The research history of Lonchopteridae in China and abroad is briefly introduced. The general morphology of Lonchopteridae is outlined. The brief information on the biology of Lonchopteridae is provided. The distribution pattern of Lonchopteridae is discussed both on world and China scale. It shows that the Oriental Realms holds the most abundant species, the follows are the Palaearctic Realm and the Nearctic Realm. The Australian Lonchopteridae is poorly studied, with only 1 species. China belongs faunistically to two zoogeographical realms: the Palaearctic Realm and the Oriental Realm. China have all genera of 3, and genus Homolonchoptera only appear in China, genus Spilolonchoptera have 5 species of 6 all of world. The species from the Oriental Realm, mostly from the Central China Region, compose the principal part of Chinese fauna. In the taxonomic part, 26 species in 3 genera from China are described. 9 new species are erected: Lonchoptera bisetosa sp. nov., Lonchoptera caudexcavata sp. nov., Lonchoptera ciliosa sp. nov., Lonchoptera curvsetosa sp. nov., Lonchoptera digitata sp. nov., Lonchoptera multiseta sp. nov., Lonchoptera pinlongshanesis sp. nov., Lonchoptera unicolor sp. nov., Spilolonchoptera brevicaudata sp. nov., Spilolonchoptera yangi sp. nov.; 3 species are recorded from China for the first time: Lonchoptera nitidifrons Strobl, Lonchoptera elinarae Andersson, Lonchoptera pipi Andersson.Keys to the Chinese genera of the family and species of each genus are provided.
