The dissertation focused the systematic of Sciaridae from China. The research history ofSciaridae is briefly reviewed. The methode and terminology are also introduced. In the taxomomicpart,86species in eight genera from China are reviewed, includeing47new species,32newrecorded species and2new combinations. The general morphology, biology, geologicaldistribution of each genus are also given. A key to all the31Chinese genera is provided and alsokeys to species of the eight genera. For phylogenetic status of the family within the Nematocera (Diptera), the mitochondrialgenome (AT rich domain exclusive) of two fungus gnats, Bradysia difformis Frey and Lycoriellapleuroti Yang et Zhang, are sequenced and analysised. In addition, based on the mitochondrialgene COI sequence, two groups of Bradysia which are morphologically closely related, areidentify as two independent species.
