A taxomomic study of the subfamilly Nomiinae from china is treated in the dissertation. The dissertation consists of three parts.Part I is the general accout. The following issues with respect to the subfamilly Nomiinae are introduced, the position in the current classification and main characteristics, biology, taxonomic history, research situation in China, importance, structures and anatomical terminology of adults, methods for collecting and preserving specimens, the geological distribution patterns are preliminarily analyzed.Part II is taxonomic account. The author carry out the taxonomic study of the specimens deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; College of Life Sciences, Nankai University; Nanjing Agriculture University. And identify 4 genuras and 6 subgenus and 42 species of Nomiinae from China, including 17 new combination species. Each genus and subgenus is accompanied with Chinese name, synonymy list, floral association, distribution, and materials examined; the author also distinguish some sibling species, and rectify the incorrect information in previous study; key to the genus and subgenus of Nomiinae and key to Chinese known species of each subgenus, based on adults, are given respectively in this part.Part III is the plate section. This part consists of 27 plates and 333 figures as a whole, including the illustrations, 231 digital photographs and 102 drawings among them, on the adult morphological structures of Nomiinae, the diagnostic characters of Chinese known species.
