A Research On Science And Technology Development Strategy Of Chalco Guangxi Branch (Former Pgac)

Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHINALCO) Guangxi Branch (former Pingguo Aluminum Company) commenced the construction of its first phase in 1991, up to now, has made significant and deep impact on the development of aluminum industry in China only with a short history over ten years. With new challenge from fast development of new and high science & technology, it is important and considerable to make a research on the science and technology development strategy of the company to further its development.In this thesis, by the historical method, SWOT and PEST analysis methods, the author tries to make a science and technology development strategy for CHINALCO Guangxi Branch.In the first step, this thesis shows us the mirror of the history of science and technology management in the company and then some significant experiences were concluded as a reference to the new strategy. Secondly, this thesis analyzes the strategy environments, including outside and inside environments. By the analysis, the strength, weakness, opportunity and threaten of the environments were pointed out. Finally, the author attempts to draw the blueprint of the company's strategy of science and technology. The science and technology strategy is focus on the concept, goals, principals, measures and some special techniques.The purpose of this thesis is to make a science and technology strategy for CHINALCO Guangxi Branch. At the meanwhile, the author hopes that the strategy can provide general sense to the other aluminum industry enterprises.
