Fauna Of Gansu Papilionidae

The thesis studies on Papilonoidea of Lepidoptera and its flora in Gansu province, it Outline the current research situation, economic significance, biological characteristics, morphological characteristics and systematic status of Papilionoidea. The results of the research showed that it has been found out 36 species of Papilionoidea and its subspecies in Gansu, and they are including 8 categories of papilionoidea and its subfamily,2 categories of Zerynthiinae,and including 14 kinds which are recorded newly in Gansu.They are Byasa aleinous mansonensis (Fruhstorfer),Papilia memnon agenor Linnaeus,Papilia memnon heronus Fruhstorfer,Papilia alcmenor nausithous Oberthür,Papilia bianor takasago Nakahara et Esaki,Papilia paris hermosanus Rebel,1906,Papilia polytes pasikrates Fruhstorfer,Papilia helnus helnus Linnaeus,Papilia protenor euprotenor (Fruhstorfer,1908),Chilasa epycides epycides (Hewitson),Meandrusa sciron aribbas (Fruhstorfer),Graphium cloanthus kuge (Fruhstorfer),Pazala tamerlana (Oberthür) and Sericinus montelus f. telamon Donovan。Faunna analyses manifested the basic composition of papilionoidea flora in Gansu: 22 kinds of oriental species,which occupies 61.1%; 1 kinds of oriental and palearctic species,2.8%; 10 kinds of marcrofauna(breed distributing at least three regions),27.8%;3 kinds of palearctic spiecs,8.3%.The above data indicates that papilionoidea in Gansu is a kind of category system based on oriental species,and dominated mainly by marcrofauna species. This thesis also discusses the relationship between papilionoidea and its host, which provides essential elements for developing the industry related to papilionoidea.
