Research On The Functional Evaluation Of Mountainous Country Landscape

China is a mountainous country, two-third the area of which is covered by mountain or highland, and is abundant in mountainous village landscape resources. Because of its location, the landscape elements, landscape pattern, the function of landscape and the environment of mountainous villages have their own characteristics. With special topography and climate, these regions are always, provided with beautiful natural, landscape, special farmland and country habitation landscape full of local characteristics, and rich cultural landscape. It's said by some experts that "the Jinshajiang drainage area and the southwest high altitude area it belongs to could mostly be the oldest cradle and habitat of ancient human, and the civilization in the upstream mountainous area of Yangtse River is far earlier than mat created in Yellow River plain".But with the fast urbanization of our country, especially the construction of modern socialist village, the landscape in mountainous country now faces unprecedented changes. How to protect the characteristics and integrality, how to dig the ecological, economical and cultural value, and how to construct mountainous village with landscape style, concerned with the sustainable development of mountainous country, are now the focus of experts and also the problems should be taken into consideration of socialist village. As one of the fundamental work of landscape planning and design of mountainous country, the basic task of function evaluation of mountainous country landscape is to judge properly the economic, social, ecological and aesthetic function which exert, then reveal the problems of it and define the direction of its development, which serve as the theoretical basis of the landscape planning and design of it and making reasonable use of its landscape resources. So, the function evaluation of mountainous country landscape is theoretically , and practically essential to the promotion of the mountainous country landscape and environmentBased on the analysis of mountainous country landscape characteristic, the constitution and the function, and combined with landscape ecology principles, landscape aesthetics and principle of other relative subject, the paper proposed the functional evaluation index system and model of mountainous village landscape. Then taking the town of Tanghe in Chongqing as its object, the paper applies the model to the judgment of the landscape function of the town, and the outcome accords with the actual status on the whole. According to the analysis, the paper puts some suggestions on the development of the town. The paper can mainly be divided into the following six parts:Chapter one: literary review. Firstly, the paper makes some illustrations on some correlative notions, then it looks back on the status quo of country landscape judgment both in China and abroad, pointing out that although there is much research on country landscape and the judgment of it, the there is yet little study pointed at the judgment of mountain landscape function.Chapter two: introduction. This part briefly discusses the research background, significance, content and method.Chapter three: This part firstly summarizes the differences between mountain country landscape and plain country landscape, then analyses the landscape types of mountain country landscape, and points out that the types of mountain country landscape mainly concludes the following three, namely, country natural landscape, country farmland landscape and country humanistic landscape. And based on the analysis on landscape composition, the paper dwells on three types of functions of mountainous country landscape.Chapter four: Based on the third part, applied with the theories of landscape ecology, landscape aesthetics, ecological economics and other knowledge of correlative subjects, and kept to the principles of landscape ecology, landscape aesthetics and taking landscape as resources, the paper builds up the judgment model of mountain country landscape functions, and gives weighing to each index with the method of AHP.Chapter five: case study. According to the judgment model built-up in the forth part, the paper takes the town of Tanghe in Chongqing Jiangjin district as the research object and through the on-the-spot investigation and the software of MapGIS and Arcview, the paper gets the actual value of each index, and standardizes and quantifies these indexes, and calculates the compositive index value and the value of the three functions of mountain village landscape. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on the landscape planning according to the outcome, which gives directions to the development of the town.Chapter six: conclusion and discussion. In this part, the paper makes some conclusions and points out some weaknesses of the paper.
