In order to acquire the rolling image, superposition of different light way and fold of laser cavity in many optical systems, the optical axis of them is crooked. While the incidence angle of optical components is gradient. Because the reflectance, transmittance and phase change of two polarization states (S polarization and P polarization) are different, polarization effect will be appeared. But the polarization effect should be decrease in many cases. The quarter stack can be adopted to design the coating of decrease polarization. The result of the design will be deep thickness and longer coating time. At the same time, it may bring difficulties to craft. In this paper, a new design (supper thin film design) is put forward to improve the frame of the coating based on the former harvest. The coating of decrease polarization is designed by super thin film, it can satisfy with our needs, and also it has shorter coating time and thinner total thickness of the layer than by traditional way. In this paper, the coating of decrease polarization was coated and it show that the result of experiment have little difference with the result of design, but the tolerance of them within our remand. So it can be found that the result is very good. Moreover, it can also be found that the presented design is feasible.Firstly, the application, development and state of the Thin Film technology have been introduced in this paper. In the process of manufacture, the more difficult craft and higher cost created by the choosing of the coating design and the materials have been brief introduced. So the meaning of investigation of this paper is expressed. The paper is based on the theory of the Thin Film of Technology, one of optical component of VCD(Video Compact Disc) and DVD(Digital Versatile Disk) optical system was chosen as investigative object, and puts forward a new design way on coating design and also tests it.
