The present thesis mainly deals with the classification and distribution of salticid spiders from Inner Mongolia. The morphological and genital illustrations of some new-recorded species are provided and some species formerly described from Inner Mongolia are revised. A total of 55 species belonging to 22 genera in family Salticidae are recorded from Inner Mongolia, including 4 species known firstly to China: Dendryphantes biankii Proszynski, 1979, Evarcha michailovi Logunov, 1992, Pellenes sibiricus Logunov & Marusik, 1994, and Yllenus flavociliatus Simon, 1895.The faunal components and distribution characters of salticid spiders from Inner Mongolia are analyzed. The result indicates that the faunal components of Salticidae of Inner Mongolia are mainly Palaearctic species and only few are Oriental ones. 34 of total 55 species are Palaearctic ones and occupy 61.8%. The species transiting from Palaearctic realm to Oriental realm are the secondly largest components and occupy 27.3%. As for the Chinese faunal geographic areas, the salticid spiders of Inner Monoglia are mostly the Mongolia-Xingjiang regions component, which are 25 species and about 45.5%, and the Northeast China region and North China components are only 8 and 3 species respectively.
