Research On Hyper-Catalog Structure Pattern Of Electronic Atlas

With the development of computers, electronic map that to be called "popular GIS" has been applied more and more widely in the different fields. Electronic atlas is generally welcome because of its all-around content, lively style and plenty of expression methods. In order to improve the efficiency of electronic atlas, it's a key to set up a convenient, rapid and efficient structural model.The thesis analyses several common structural models of electronic atlas, discusses specially the model of graphic coverage and that of map group. According to the excellences of these models, we put forward a partition method that pages are divided into function page, explanation page and map page, and a super-catalog structural model with that a building method is put and a program test is done. At last the test is proved to be good in the application of "Nanjing Electronic Atlas".
