The Data Organization Of Authoring Tool Of Multimedia Electronic Atlas Based On XML

Multimedia electronic map is one important distributing method of spatial data. With the development of technology, the products of multimedia electronic map make great progress and are applied to all kinds of fields. At the same time, the products of multimedia electronic map also are faced with the new requirements. For instance, the users want to browse and query the multimedia electronic map in the internet instead of the CD-ROM, users wish that the representative style of multimedia electronic map can change with the different need of people, and so on. In addition, the producers of multimedia electronic map wish that the creation procedure of the electronic map can be simplified, the data can be reused fully, and the system can be managed and queried efficiently.XML technology used in multimedia electronic map can solve the problems above. It includes the syntax of data representation, provides the technology of managing the documents. Different from the traditional file formats and relation database, it is flexible and fit for describing the hierarchical data.This paper focuses on the technology of data representation, organization, save and management methods based on the XML document. In the Paper the character, classification, organization, distribution of data is analyzed in detail, and one document schema is defined by using XML Schema. The document schema refers to the metadata of multimedia data and the mechanism of hyper-media data organization of multimedia electronic map. At last, SVG is used to implement the visualization of the documents.
