Development Of Nature Reserves Multi Media Electronic Atlas In Fujian Province

This paper first introduced the general character of ecology environment and the present development of nature the reserves in Fujian Province. Then illustrated the background, feasibility and the importance of developing multi media electronic atlas of Fijian's nature reserves. Based on the study of component technique especially ComGIS ,I designed the structure, content .database, function and interface of the system and then realized it using the ComGIS software -SuperMap which made in China in Visual Basic environment. The main characteristics and innovation of the atlas are as follows:(1)Electronic map system with abundant contents.The abundant contents and many kinds of maps in this electronic atlas not only reflected the complex natural environment and biodiversity of but also revealed the district difference of the natural reserves in Fujian province. (2)Strong functions of displaying,analysis, application and etc. The electronic map has realized a lot of functions from displaying maps to mutual querying between graphic data and attribute data to forming thematic map to measuring objects to printing maps. (3) Combining all kinds of visualizing method. Including integrating raster maps, two dimension vector maps, three dimension maps and multi-media to reflect the quantity, spatial distribution and dynamic change of the elements of natural reserves more effectively. (4)Unique interaction interface, menus and buttons.The atlas also has a beautiful and convinient interaction interface in which menus and buttons are made by Flash with sound— offering a cheerful environment for readers.
