Nowadays, the groundwater is the important component of land fresh water resources However, with the progressive contradiction of groundwater resource between supply and demand, the groundwater plays a key regulative role in alleviating the urban water question. At the same time the poor scientific management for exploiting groundwater has posed a great deal of geological questions of environment. How to carry on the management with rationality and science has become the realistic solution to the groundwater. And then, we should manage and analyze the data information about groundwater resources scientifically, and summarize the reasonable development of the groundwater and applicable measures on this basis. So, setting up groundwater information analysis and administrative system becomes the extremely urgent demand of administrative department of groundwater.This thesis regards the research of groundwater resources information management and analytical system as the theme, researching and solving groundwater information analysis and concept, ensemble architecture, data model of the administrative system based on GIS technology, and using such problems as the structure system of models, etc. Technically, this paper research and solve such problems as the setting-up of the database, using the realization of the model and design of integrating, user's interface of GIS environment and realizing from technological method, etc. Regard this as guidelines, the thesis has roundly summarized GIS on the basis of current situation in groundwater field, analyzing and studying constitutes and function of groundwater information analysis and management system based on GIS. As the aim of regional groundwater information and spatial analysis, we apply the design method with systematically and structurally, analyze system with feasibility, research groundwater information management and goal in research, design principle and system ensemble architecture of the analytic system to the feasible system on the basis of GIS. Under the base of controlling groundwater form and occurrence factor in further investigation, the paper study groundwater spatial database structure, spatial data division, layers and pixels attribute of data structure on the premise of user serving and spatial analysis. The need of analyzing from setting out spatial analysis of regional groundwater, research and setting spatial analysis groundwater model with spatial statistical analysis, groundwater calculation, potential analysis and synthetical groundwater appraisal model. The system is MapObjects2. 2 + ADO + VB as a development mode of the application technology, realize GIS platform and analyze the not sewing and integrating of the model. Meanwhile, the system realized the information sharing platform of groundwater based on B/S structure still with WEBGIS technology system of ARCIMS +JSP +SQLServer2000. System is managed by 5 part made up, namely spatial database administration module, model storehouse module, spatial analysis module, attribute database administration module and network release module, which have realized to such functions as the memory of groundwater resources information, managing, searching, upgrading, analyzing and appraising in the same platform, etc.Using groundwater information analysis and management system, is based on groundwater information material of six provinces of the west of China, which hasfinished the construction of the database, realized groundwater water quality appraise, underground water yield calculation that data can share each other, analysis of potentiality and information network of groundwater. We have made the satisfactory result. Setting-up of this system, has not merely improved traditional groundwater information analysis and benefit of management, realized to appraise the demonstrative operation of the platform dynamically groundwater resources, also, it has managed the theory with importance and actual meaning in promoting the groundwater resources information.
