A Study On The Urban Landscape Pattern Change Of Kaifeng City From 1988 To 2002

Seen from landscape ecology, urban environment pollution, ecological destruction, etc were caused by no-coordination of urban landscape element and bad landscape pattern. It greatly aggravated the function of urban landscape.So the rules of Kaifeng city landscape change were analyzed in the help of ERDAS and ARCINFO software based on RS image of 1988 and 2002. The result of the research showed: (1) The whole urban landscape fragment degree and diversity increased in 1988-2002, the urban landscape pattern index had relevance with the urbanization and human activity. (2) The construction land increased greatly with fragment degree decreasing, the farmland decreased a lot with fragment degree increasing, and water, grassland increased, orchard and non-used land increased a lot. (3) The landscape pattern of Kaifeng city were affected by Yellow River, such as many no-used land were transformed to farmland land through irrigation diverting water from Yellow River, the developing direction of construction land was restricted by Yellow River. (4) Low-density construction land transformed mainly to high-density construction land, the source of low-density construction land is farmland, no-used land transformed to farmland, greenbelt and, water land, orchard transformed to low-density construction and farmland.The paper consists of 9 segmentsThe first segment introduced the background and meaning of the research, the studying area and research fragment.The second part summarized the research about urban landscape pattern and present the main research, including the research content and method of urban landscape patternThe third segment introduced the theory basis of landscape pattern, including the conception of landscape, landscape ecology, urban ecology and landscape pattern.
