The Study Of Historical And Heterogeneous Evolution On Urban Cultural Landscape Of Xi'an

The urban cultural landscape is one of important components constituted the pattern, style and feature of the city, and essential characters and factors of its image made the regional city existed. This study is a primary analysis of historical and heterogeneity evolution on urban cultural landscape of Xi'an. Providing the protection and sustainable development of urban regional feature with a novel pathway and measure is one of the aims of this paper.In this paper, the structure and character of urban landscape were explained by reviewing the progress course of urban cultural landscape , all kinds of landscape research subjects with using the existing inscapes of urban cultural landscape. In details, by analyzing the historic background and the social development process of Xi'an city, the urban cultural landscape was analysed historically and comprehensively, the character of Xi'an city's urban cultural landscape was described longitudinally, and the factors of current urban cultural landscape of Xi'an was also discussed comparatively and horizontally. Moreover, by analyzing the type and feature of cultural landscape of Xi'an, throwing light on the development and transition of cultural landscape of Xi'an from the angles of capital cultural landscape, "shan-shui" cultural landscape, religion cultural landscape and downtown cultural landscape, the urban cultural landscape was measured and verified with the principles and methods of statistics and the mathematical model of the urban cultural landscape was estabilished. In this manner, we tried to find out an effective pathway to evaluate the criteria of the urban cultural landscape. In addition, this study can also provide the basis to the urban planning and landscape design.Compared with the modern cultural landscape, how to abstract the symbol of the traditional cultural landscape from this old city and fuse the tradition and the innovation wellwere proposed under the orientation of modern metropolis. At the meantime, the tendency of this famous historical cultural city was predicted and the corresponding strategy of cultural landscape protecting was also mentioned combined with the existing urban planning mode. At final, with the footing of the urban identity confirmed, it suggested that the style and feature of the urban cultural landscape of Xi'an will play an important role on the competition among many modern cities in China.
