Taking Xiling River Basin of Inner Mongolia as an example, this study focuses on the landscape pattern and its dynamic change, in order to calculate the value of recreation services between different functional areas and find the value tendency of tentative comparison.Firstly, regarding four period of TM remote sensing images as data sources, on the basis of various landscape types in remote sensing image shown on the direct signs and other related elements of indirect characteristics, to establish the symbol system and the classification system of interpretation between landscapes and to find a better definition of the dynamic changes characteristics of the watershed landscape pattern. The study finds that:1. A majority of landscape patterns in the zone is relatively stable, which has a relatively balanced structure;2.The advantage is a prairie landscape, accounting for 83% of the total area of the basin, but the human activities have a effort on the whole.Secondly, establishing an targeted cultural value evaluation of the watershed landscape services. According to the relevant data, effect indicators of landscape pattern system is build. By CVM investigation(Contingent valuation method),294 valid questionnaires are collected, for compensation the loss of the ecosystem. The paper finds the WTP of respondents is 113/a RMB, the WTA is 277/a RMB.Finally, though landscape TM data interpretation, giving a development reference for future, which is good for in the sustainable development of the study area.
