The Study On Zhejiang "Eight Sights" Culture Landscape

“Eight Sights”phenomenon is a traditional landscape sequence concept which stands for thelocal culture landscape feature，just as the famous “Xiaoxiang Eight Sights”and the West LakeWord Culture Heritage‘s Ten Sights.Through out the history of “Eight Sights‖，it was widelyrecorded in the local chorography. But this traditional phenomenon is gradually disappearing exceptsome classic ones.In June2011,West Lake Cultural Landscape was recived in the World Heritage List whichcontained the West Lake Ten Sights.This paper takes the―West Lake Ten Sights‖for the pointcut tostudy the―Eight Sights‖in Zhejiang Province and put forword the concept of―Eight Sights‖culturelandscape.Firstly,this paper takes a wide rage survey on the―Eight Sights‖phenomenon inZhejiang province from the existing chorographies in Zhejiang‘s cities, countries,villages,templesand other historic data.Secondly，this paper sorts the landscape elements from those ancient“EightSights” phenomenon which have detailed year record. The sort process will base on the taxonomyof tourism geography and tourism resources methods,the professor Jia Wenyu‘s classificationmethod in his paper and the character of Zhejiang province‘s“Eight Sights”cultural landscape.Fromthe classification and four “Eight Sights” cultural landscape examples to summarize thecharacteristics of the cultural landscape elements.At last，this paper discusses the character of“Eight Sights”cultural landscape in Zhejiang province and its impacts on the direction ofcontemporary landscape，the construction of landscape and the influence on the landscape citybuilding.
