At the beginning of this paper, the history of Genus populus classification is reviewed. Writer immprove the taxonomic systerm of Genus Populus. Accoding to Dode' s ideas , Subsect. Tacamahaca And Subsect. Aigeiros Consist of Sect. Eupopulus. At the same time , Writer adopts Hongtao' system about Subsect. Trepida and divide three series(Series Davidianae . Series Scrrata , Series Adenopodae ) .Through the study, writer think Prof. Zhao Tianbang' thought is right. We think Funiu Moutain area in Henan provence is the original and distributing center of Subsect. Trepida of our country.At the end of this paper, writer brifly intrduce the utilization of Genus Populus-ecologicak and economic for rest.
