Water is an indispensible resource for humanity, however, along with human society's progress, people utilize water unreasonably and create more and more waste and pollution. Simultaneously, people depend on water is getting more obvious than before and the water scarcity has become one of the most important questions the human society faces. To tackle water resource insufficiency, the ground water needs to be exploited rationally, which can not only alleviate the short-term water resources scarcity, but also not affect the normal ecological environment and satisfy the sustainable utilization of groundwater resources. Therefore, based on the GWMS, it is essential to develop ground-water flow simulation and relevant computation, which is also important to the ground water management and protection.This article analyzes the current situation of our country's water resources. Pointed out the problems in the study area during the use of groundwater. Also a brief description of the groundwater simulation, the study situation at home and abroad, and the problems. Determined study this paper with GWMS system as the major groundwater flow model.This paper takes Shexian County's groundwater resources as the study object. By studying the geology and hydro-geological condition analysis, the ground-water flow conceptual model and the mathematical model has been established. The author got reliable hydrology geology parameter by comparing the results with the actual material, which also indicated the reliability of establishing the ground-water flow mathematical model. The model may be used to simulate the tendency of ground water in the mountainous area.On the basis of the ground water amount computation and the water require forecast, water resources supply and demand balanced analysis has been carried on in the paper. Simultaneously, the author gave some reference measure to the sustainable utilization for groundwater and provided scientific basis for the reasonable development of groundwater resource.
