As the MODIS remote sensing data applied in more scientific fields, the National Satellite Meteorological Center built the DVB-S system to broadcast MODIS data in near real-time to improve its usage. Because of the signal receiving equipments error and signal interference, there would be some unique data abnormal in the received images, the complex data query and process would make it be difficult for the non-professional regional specific user to use the large swath width data. In order to solve those problems, the DVB-S MODIS on-line interactive processing system was developed, the major work include:â‘ Different methods were introduced to correct the specific DVB-S MODIS data abnormal, and realized the on-line interactive pre-processing module;â‘¡The "regional remote sensing metadata" for the large swath MODIS image was introduced to meet the regional specific research, and regional cloud cover metadata was extract to explain it application;â‘¢Considered the influence of thin cloud to the optical remote sensing, the on-line interactive thin cloud removal module was realized using the improved homomorphic filtering method;â‘£The prototype system was developed using IDL, ASP.NET and other technologies.The innovations of this research are as follows:(1)A new abnormal data correction algorithm was developed to correct the DVB-S MODIS successive swath abnormal data, it used overlapped signal receiving areas among ground stations. This new algorithm could overcome the shortcomings of traditional spatial interpolation method and correct the abnormal data efficiently.(2) The "regional remote sensing metadata" was added into the current metadata standard and the regional cloud information was extracted to explain its advantage in helping regional specific users to get the data conveniently.(3) Considered the negative influence of cloud to the data application, the cloud remove module was developed to help the user get high quality image data.
