This dissertation is about one-year's study of Zhushuqiao Reservoir in community ecology of zooplankton, which evaluated the water quality of this reservoir through the analysis of the structure variation of its zooplankton community and combining with the physical and chemical indexes, then may give some suggestions to the rational and efficacious measures of Zhushuqiao reservoir management. From May 2007 to March 2008, we collected the zooplanktons qualitatively and quantitatively at 10 sampling sites in the reservoir and measured 3 physical indexes (temperature, pH and electric conductivity) and 5 chemical indexes (NH3-N, TP, TN, CODcr and DO).Through identifing the zooplanktons'category, the common and the Dominant species were ascertained. The change of the zooplankton community and the effects of temperature, PH, DO and Amonnia on the zooplankton community were studied. The results indicate:184 species of zooplankton was recorded (95 protozoan,71 rotifer,10 cladocera and 8 copepoda).There were 120 and 138 species in summer and autumn,72 in spring and 64 in winter. Species appearing all the yearround were 36.Annual fluctuation of abundance and biomass was close in 10 locations. Abundance was 712 to 4190 ind/L and biomass from 0.347 to 2.783 mg/L. Abundance was most at 1# injoint and biomass most at 2# Shengpingkou. Both abundance and biomass was least at 9# Boulder 1. Abundance and biomass of zooplanktons was very different in different seasons. Abundance was the highest in autumn, successively in summer and spring, the least in winter. Biomass was the highest in summer, then in autumn and spring, the least in winter too.The diversity index, richness index and evenness index of zooplankton were all higher in September or November, the least in January.But it was contrary to concentrieity index. Species of zooplankton increased along with temperature's rising, but correlation of species and pH and at biomass to chlorophylla were unobvious. 'That of abundance in summer and autumn and dissolved oxygen was obvious than them in spring and winter. When ammonia amount was higher in spring or winter, there were less species of zooplankton.But ammonia amount was lower in summer and autumn, species of zooplankton were relatively moreThe physico-chemical indexes were measured, the chemical evaluational index (Pb/n) and Point system were calculated to evaluate the water quality of this Zhushuqiao reservoir. And then the biological indicator methods, three diversity indexes (Simpson, Shannon-Wearer and Margalef) were used to make the biological evaluation separately. At the same time, the nutrition type was evaluated combining physico-chemical indexes.Comprizing all kinds of evaluation methods, the major water quality in Zhusguqiao reservoir is defined to between the o andβtype of medium pollution.Zhushuqiao Reservoir belongs to the intermediate nutrition type Eventually, we combined the current situation at present and provided some useful suggestions for reasonable development and utilizing the reservoir.
