Industrial Agglomeration And Economic Growth In The Yellow River Basin Under The Perspective Of Spatial Heterogeneity

The implementation of the strategy of ecological conservation and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin,which will not only help to narrow the gap between the East,the middle,the West and the north of China,but also help to build a new development pattern and speed up the modernization process of China.At present,the research on the Yellow River Basin mainly focuses on three aspects: spatial differentiation,coordinated development of regional economy,ecological environment and economic development,while the research on industrial agglomeration and promoting the growth of economic of the Yellow River Basin are less.Therefore,from the perspective of spatial heterogeneity,this paper defines the connotation of the coordinated development of industrial agglomeration and regional economy in the Yellow River Basin,measures the facts and characteristics of industrial agglomeration and coordinated development of regional economy,analyzes the mechanism,puts forward research hypotheses,selects variables,and analyzes the coordinated agglomeration of manufacturing industry and producer services,and the impact of single industrial agglomeration on coordinated development of regional economy Undoubtedly,it is of great practical significance to promote the high-quality coordinated development of regional economy in the Yellow River Basin.First of all,by using location quotient,collaborative agglomeration index,standard deviation ellipse and other methods to measure the fact characteristics of the coordinated development of industrial agglomeration and regional economy in the Yellow River Basin,it is found that although the total economic volume and the total resident population of the Yellow River Basin present the pattern of "high in the East and low in the west",the variation coefficients of the regional GDP and per capita GDP in the upper,middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River Basin have increased to converge.Secondly,under the heterogeneity of geographical location and urban population size,the paper defines the mechanism and influencing factors of industrial agglomeration promoting the growth of economic,and takes the per capita GDP as the explanatory variable,and explains the heterogeneity of geographical location,the size of urban population,industrial collaborative agglomeration,manufacturing agglomeration,producer services and its sub industries variable,the input of material capital,the input of human capital,the input of innovation,government intervention,industrial wastewater discharge,transportation infrastructure and opening up are the control variables,using non dynamic and dynamic SDM model to analyze the effect of industrial agglomeration on the coordinated development of regional economy in the Yellow River Basin,we can get the conclusion:Firstly,under the heterogeneity of geographical,the promotion effect of industrial agglomeration on the growth of economic is different in the short and long term,and the impact on the upper,middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River Basin is different.(1)In the short term,both industrial agglomeration and manufacturing agglomeration can promote the growth of GDP per capita in neighboring areas;producer services can not only promote the growth of GDP per capita in the local region,but also produce spatial spillover effect on the surrounding areas;The short-term direct effect and short-term indirect effect of leasing and business services,scientific research and technical services are significant,which shows that the agglomeration of the two can promote the economic growth of the local region and its surrounding areas(2)In the long run,industrial agglomeration and the agglomeration of manufacturing industry can promote the growth of GDP per capita in the local region;The possible reason is that the agglomeration of producer services in this region has been transferred,but this transfer has not yet adapted to the development needs of the surrounding areas.(3)For the upstream area and middle reaches,manufacturing agglomeration can promote the growth of economy,for the downstream area,producer services agglomeration can promote the growth of economy.Secondly,under the heterogeneity of urban population size,the role of industrial agglomeration in promoting the growth of economy is different in the short and long term,and has different impact on cities of different sizes.(1)In the short term,industrial collaborative agglomeration and manufacturing agglomeration produce spatial spillover effect on the surrounding cities,while producer services agglomeration produces siphon effect on the surrounding cities.(2)In the long term,industrial collaborative agglomeration can produce siphon effect on surrounding cities;manufacturing industry can promote the development of surrounding cities;the agglomeration of producer services,transportation,warehousing and postal industry can promote the coordinated development of regional economy.(3)There is obvious heterogeneity in the role of industrial agglomeration in promoting the coordinated development of regional economy in cities with different population sizes.Industrial collaborative agglomeration and producer services agglomeration have a strong promoting effect on small cities,while manufacturing agglomeration only has a strong promoting effect on big cities.Therefore,under the spatial heterogeneity,if the Yellow River Basin wants to further play the role of industrial agglomeration in promoting the growth of economy,it must accelerate the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry and the development of producer services to the high-end direction,make full use of innovation driving force,and promote the collaborative agglomeration of manufacturing industry and producer services.At the same time,under the heterogeneity of geographical location,we should strengthen the ecological protection of the upstream area,middle and downstream reaches,give full play to the integrated transport system,and smooth the flow channel of factor resources.Further strengthen the radiation and driving role of megacities and big cities,and build a new pattern of opening up.
