Contemporary China attaches great importance to the rule of law and has unprecedented expectations for a better society ruled by law.The basic way to help citizens to establish the concept of law-abiding and the mode of law-abiding behavior is to help citizens to establish the concept of law-abiding and modernization of law-abiding behavior.The modernization of the rule of law depends on the modernization of people.The first step to realize the modernization of people is to realize the modernization of youth.Carrying out legal education for contemporary college students is a positive response to the voice of the times.Quality education is the direction of the development of education in China,and the rule of law education of college students is no exception.The main body of a rule of law society must be the person who has the knowledge of the rule of law,the person who upholds the belief in the rule of law,and the person who has the ability to practice the rule of law,that is,the person with the quality of the rule of law.Focusing on the purpose of quality education,in order to ensure the breadth and depth of the research,the framework of this research is determined as four major dimensions of college students’ advocacy of the rule of law,cognition of the rule of law,recognition of the rule of law,and practice of the rule of law.On the basis of determining the research framework,the author first used the literature research method,based on the existing literature,and interpreted the text,including the central policy,report,guidance,and domestic and foreign literature on the rule of law and rule of law education.In order to make a breakthrough in the research on the rule of law education of contemporary college students,it is necessary to first understand the outstanding problems in the rule of law education of contemporary college students,so as to carry out research on the outstanding problems,which is more realistic.In order to master the outstanding problems in the rule of law education of contemporary college students,the study adopted the method of combining qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis.Six universities in Wuhan were selected as the survey samples.A total of 2000 questionnaires were distributed to college students,and 1900 valid questionnaires were recovered at the end of the survey.A total of 34 single choice questions were designed in the questionnaire,and 6 multiple choice questions were designed as a supplement,which basically covered all aspects of college students’ rule of law education.The questionnaire was conducted anonymously.The students answered the questionnaire without psychological concerns,and the survey results were authentic.In the view of Marxism,the rule of law is a concrete and historical thing.The rule of law education in contemporary Chinese colleges and universities can only be the socialist rule of law education,rather than any other education.The socialist rule of law theory with Chinese characteristics is undoubtedly the core content of college students’ understanding of the rule of law.But cognition is not simply knowing or knowing knowledge.Cognition is a positive discovery process and exploration process aimed at mastering knowledge.Cognition of the rule of law should follow the systematic principle.It is necessary to organize teaching content according to the general rules of cognitive development in combination with the psychological characteristics of college students.Focusing on the theory of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics,this study summarizes and refines the knowledge points of rule of law that college students should know and know.To uphold the rule of law,we must establish the belief in the rule of law.The belief in the rule of law is the extreme conviction of college students for the rule of law,which is a way of governing the country.It is the sacred feeling of the rule of law generated psychologically.The process of college students receiving the rule of law education is a process of combining internalization and externalization.The successful internalization process is that college students have established the belief in the rule of law,and transformed the literal law into the norms of their own activities in society,so that they can truly be active Rational and law-abiding.There can be no belief in the rule of law without the recognition of the rule of law.In order to solve the problem of college students’ heartfelt recognition of the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics,this study attempts to put forward the concept of college students’ recognition of the rule of law and three development stages.The effect of the rule of law education for college students should ultimately be tested and measured through the rule of law practice of college students.In view of the problems found in the questionnaire survey that college students’ awareness of practicing the rule of law is not strong enough,their feelings and willingness to practice the rule of law are not strong enough,and their ability to practice the rule of law is insufficient,this study proposes that we should adhere to the ideological and political education to guide the whole process of the rule of law education in colleges and universities,and lay the quality foundation for college students to practice the rule of law with the cultivation of rule of law quality The integration of knowledge transmission and value guidance will stimulate the enthusiasm of practicing the rule of law,and the integration of thinking and practice will improve the effectiveness of college students in practicing the rule of law.The traditional legal education pays attention to the interpretation and teaching of the literal law,while the contemporary school legal education recognizes the right essence of the law and pays attention to transforming the literal law into the law in life,so that the educated can form a conscious trust and respect for the law in their heart,and be willing and good at using the law to solve the problems they actually encounter in reality.It can be seen that the connotation of contemporary college legal education is obviously richer than legal education.The content of legal education is more,the starting point is higher and the requirements are stricter.College students are not only citizens of the future society ruled by law,but also the backbone of the construction of a country ruled by law.College students’ legal education has a long way to go.Therefore,in order to complete the historical mission of College Students’ legal education,it is necessary to innovate the indoctrination method of College Students’ legal education,establish an organic and unified classroom system of College Students’ legal education,and strive to build the joint force of family legal education in social schools on the basis of clarifying the responsibilities of various educational subjects of College Students’ legal education.
