The report of the 20 th Party Congress emphasizes that the comprehensive rule of law is a profound revolution,which is not only related to the Party’s ruling and prospering the country,but also related to the people’s happiness and well-being and the long-term stability of the country.After a long period of development and evolution,China’s political system and legal system have been continuously improved,and the construction of the rule of law has made remarkable achievements,but the national awareness of the rule of law does not match the requirements of the development of the rule of law in today’s society.As the backbone of the future society,the correctness of the rule of law concept of college students largely affects the process of national rule of law construction,and the current problem of weak legal awareness and immature rule of law concept of college students is still prominent.The timely and effective cultivation of the rule of law concept among college students has become an important research topic for the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized country on the track of rule of law.The first part of this paper discusses the concept definition and theoretical foundation of rule of law concept education for college students,which mainly includes rule of law,rule of law concept,rule of law concept education and the relationship between rule of law concept education and ideological and political education;the theoretical foundation includes Marx Engels’ thought on rule of law and the thoughts of China’s successive leaders on legal governance.On this basis,the second part of this paper explains the main content,significance of implementation and necessity of rule of law concept education for college students.In the third part,the following conclusions are obtained by analyzing the data of the questionnaire: the current situation of university students’ view of rule of law is that most of them can respect the authority of constitution and law,have certain awareness of rights and obligations,agree with the value goals such as fairness and justice,and have certain awareness of rules and rule of law;however,at the same time,there are weak theoretical foundation,poor enthusiasm in defending rights,inconsistency between values and real behavior,and poor self-restraint ability,etc.However,at the same time,there are problems such as weak theoretical foundation,poor activism to defend rights,inconsistency between values and real behavior,and poor self-restraint.This paper analyzes the causes of these problems and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems,that is,we should insist on gathering the strength of many parties,establish the education mechanism with the cooperation of colleges and universities as the leading,society as the support and family as the foundation,integrate the ideological and political education of college students with the education of rule of law,help college students establish the correct concept of rule of law and optimize the cultivation system of rule of law of college students.Education on the concept of rule of law is an important content of ideological and political education.The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the problems of rule of law education in the current ideological and political education by focusing on the current situation of the rule of law concept of college students in the new era under the background of comprehensive rule of law,and put forward countermeasure suggestions in a targeted manner to achieve the effect of enriching the content of ideological and political education,and finally help to comprehensively improve the national rule of law concept and the construction of China under the rule of law.
