| The field of family has always been the focus of anthropology and sociology, and intergeneration is the typical perspective of research on family issues.Until recent years, especially in rural areas, the changes of population structure brought by population mobility and aging,as well as the diversification of rural development environment and the emergence of individual consciousness have constantly impacted the traditional intergenerational relationships of rural families, which has caused the academic circles to pay attention to it again.Few regional studies on the intergenerational relationship of rural families are specifically concerned with the discussion of ethnic areas in the border areas, especially the complex influence of cultural characteristics under different historical, social development stages and religious beliefs.Among them, the research on the function of intergenerational relationship is mainly to refine the intergenerational functional relationship, and the research results on the function of intergenerational relationship from the whole and systematic level are relatively weak. Therefore, this study focuses on the local cultural characteristics and attempts to observe the integration and maintenance of village community order through the intergenerational relationship of the rural families of ethnic minority. This study adopts the field research method in the orientation of humanistic methodology, taking Danuohei village,Guishan town,Shilin county,Yunnan province as the field site, following the logic of villagers’ real life, and combining the "process-event" analysis method to comprehensively present the complexity and dynamics of the intergenerational relationship in the Sani village. The Sani people living in Shilin County are a branch of the Yi ethnicgroup.Based on the practical process of family reproduction, the paper gives an in-depth description and analysis of the practice of family generation, such as marriage, household division,“shazhufan”and ancestor worship, family structure, organizational strategy of family reproduction, intergenerational tension and family support mode,as well as the implication of intergenerational relationship. On this basis,by fully exploring the way, scope and extent of local cultural rules such as village customs, moral conventions and social norms play a role in family intergenerational relationship, and according to the principle of analytical expanded reasoning this paper explains them from two dimensions of structure and individual,so as to explore the possibility of maintaining and integrating the order of village community in the process of intergenerational inheritance of local cultural elements. The development of intergenerational relationships in rural families is based on village social and local cultural rules.Formal institutions, material structures, national habits and traditional ethics have structural influences and restrictions on the actions and interactions of intergenerational subjects,of course, this influences and restrictions are not decisive.Intergenerational subjects are active and creative actors who will establish specific actions based on resources and goals under structural constraints and make choices, comparisons and judgments within the scope of possible interactions. Therefore, the development of family intergenerational relationship is a dynamic process of constant adjustment. On the one hand, the development of intergenerational relationship adjusts and reshapes the distribution and accumulation of resources and power between generations by promoting some actions among intergenerational subjects and restraining others;on the other hand,it can also lead to the continuation and revision of some elements of system, norms, ethics, values and concept. The establishment of intergenerational reciprocity and cooperation depends on the establishment of a "cofigurative" communication space. The common memory and culture of village not only reflect the value and significance of village community form, but also serve as the basis for villagers to realize sharing. The village community is composed of families, and the ethics, customs, manners and other formalized internal rules that extend from the family to village are the basis of the integration of endogenous order within the community.Individuals are the carrier and construction subject of ethics and community order, while "generation" is the most basic and main form of human continuation. The moral norms and rules in the family and community category are realized in the continuous intergenerational inheritance. The community order generated on this basis constitutes the existing space for the interaction and communication of basic subjects in a specific stage. The shared value and rule system of people define and regulate the scope, methods and content of the subject’s activities,so that the community tends to be in an orderly state, which in turn affects people’s family and social life.As shared value and rule system are important components of culture,so the intergenerational relationship of family and community order influence each other through the intergenerational cultural inheritance.Intergenerational inheritance is an effective way for culture to obtain continuity.Whether it is the flow of unmarried youth groups,or the village continues to enter the modern development environment, the shared value and rules of villagers will continue to be maintained for a long time.Of course, there will be structural differences between groups or individuals in a specific environment and the same cultural background, that is to say, differences in life experience and socialization make different value judgments and choices on shared values and rule systems among groups. The transmission and evolution of culture is realized through the consistent needs or differences,or even conflicting value attitudes of intergenerational groups on shared values and rule systems. The liquid modernity makes a certain national or regional culture merge with global culture, and the change of any moral norm or custom in the adaptive value line caused by social changes is an inevitable phenomenon in the process of cultural development. This also urges us to further consider the social construction significance of national culture in the context of globalization and modernization. |
