Impact Of Intergenerational Family Support On The Old-Age Willingness Of Rural Elderly People

At present,the problem of population aging in China is becoming more and more serious.Especially in rural areas,the pressure of providing for the aged is increasing.In addition to the large outflow of young and middle-aged people in rural areas,some scholars’ research shows that in the era of "rear-rearing children to prevent the aged",the willingness of the elderly in rural areas has changed,and the dominant position of the traditional mode of sending the elderly to the end through the old-age support of their sons is unsustainable.Based on the above background,using the crosssectional data of CLASS in 2014,this paper empirically studies the influence mechanism of family intergenerational support on rural elderly’s pension willingness through logistic regression analysis method,and further discusses the effect of "new rural insurance" pension on it.The conclusion of this study shows that the traditional mode of supporting the aged by sons has changed in rural areas of China.Whether the intergenerational support from the family can be sustained or not is still the main factor affecting the willingness of the aged in rural areas.The pension will have a certain impact on their willingness to support the aged by increasing the economic income of the elderly in rural areas;and the amount of the pension will be up to When a certain number is reached,the elderly in rural areas,especially the younger ones in rural areas,will be more inclined to rely on themselves and their spouses for old-age support.Social work should gradually enter the rural endowment market through its own professional services and attributes.While giving full play to the advantages and functions of resource links,it should integrate various forces to innovate the supply mode of rural endowment services.In combination with the characteristics of local society,social work should gradually be promoted by the "top-down" government to the "bottom-up" spontaneous transformation,and strengthen the same infrastructure construction.At the same time,social work education should pay more attention to the field of providing for the aged in rural areas,improve the professional level and quality of education,break the "one Mu and three parts" of departments and professions,pay attention to the elderly in rural areas while paying attention to their families,and block the intergenerational transfer of poverty.
