Research On The Green Production Behavior Of Aquaculturists

The fundamental reason for the frequent occurrence of aquatic product quality and safety events is that it is difficult to ensure the safety of aquaculture in the source of aquatic products,which is also the key and difficult point that Chinese governments at all levels need to solve urgently.Small scale aquaculturists are the main body of aquatic product production and management in China,and will exist for a long time.Due to their small scale,they have natural defects in green production behavior and aquatic product quality and safety control,which makes it difficult to achieve green aquatic products.Fishery cooperation organization is an important carrier to guide small scale aquaculturists to integrate into modern fisheries.Through the establishment of an interest connection mechanism of "risk sharing and benefit sharing" between them,it promotes aquaculturists to carry out green production actively and improve the quality and safety level of aquatic products effectively.These practical problems need theoretical explanation.However,contrary to the actual needs,there is a lack of theoretical analysis and systematic researches on the effects and mechanisms of fishery cooperation organization support on aquaculturists’ green production behavior.In order to make up for the shortcomings of the existing research,this paper takes fishery cooperatives as an example,based on the questionnaire data of 586 aquaculturists in Rongcheng City,Shandong Province and Xiangshan County,Zhejiang Province,and uses a variety of econometric models,discusses the influence mechanism of fishery cooperative organization support on aquaculturists’ safety factor input behavior,standard production participation behavior,green technology adoption behavior and aquatic product quality and safety control effect.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Using the intermediary effect model,this paper investigates the influence mechanism and path of fishery cooperation organization support on aquaculturists’ safety factor input behavior.The results show that fishery cooperation organization support has a significant positive influence on the safety factor input behavior of aquaculturists.Order fishery participation and product quality certification have some intermediary effects in the relationship between organizational support and safety factor input behavior of aquaculturists.The proportion of intermediary effect of product quality certification is higher than that of order fishery participation,which reflects that product quality certification has a greater influence on green production behavior of aquaculturists.(2)Using structural equation model,this paper explores the influence of emotional support and tool support on aquaculturists’ participation in standard production behavior.The results show that emotional support and tool support can guide aquaculturists’ motivation to participate in standard production and improve their cognition of participating in standard production actively.Strong motivation and accurate cognition can promote aquaculturists’ intention to participate in standard production effectively,and also have a direct and indirect significant positive influence on their participation behavior.At the same time,the intention of aquaculturists to participate in standard production also has a significant positive influence on the behavior of participating in standard production.From the perspective of effect,the total effect and direct effect of participation in standard production cognition on their participation behavior are the largest,which fully shows that aquaculturists’ cognition of green production is the key factor for their green production behavior.The indirect effect of emotional support on aquaculturists’ standard production participation behavior is the largest,followed by tool support,which shows that in addition to the aquaculturists’ own internal factors,external forces such as fishery cooperation organization support can also promote their green production behavior.(3)Using the propensity score matching model,based on the coefficient of variation method to measure the degree of green technology adoption,this paper constructs a counterfactual research framework to test the influence of fishery cooperation organization support on aquaculture green technology adoption behavior empirically.The results show that after controlling the sample selection deviation,through the three matching methods of nearest neighbor matching,radius matching and kernel matching,the average treatment effect passes the test at the significance level of 1%,and the influence effect increases by 0.756.It reflects that organizational support can stimulate aquaculturists’ adoption of green technology.and has a differentiated promoting effect on aquaculturists with different capital endowments.At the same time,the fishery cooperation organization support strengthenes the green technology adoption behavior of aquaculturists and realizes the green production of aquatic products through promoting the benefit increase of aquatic products,improving the quality premium of aquatic products,strengthening the acquisition of aquatic product information and pursuing the social evaluation of aquatic products.(4)Using the ordered probit model,this paper analyzes the influence of fishery cooperation organization support on the quality and safety control effect of aquatic products by subdividing quality attributes and safety attributes empirically.The results show that the degree of fishery cooperation organizational support and its two dimensions(emotional support and tool support)can improve the quality attributes of aquatic products effectively.Combined with the marginal effect,for each additional unit of organizational support,the probability of aquaculturists in seedling inspection and quarantine,feed quality purchase,fish disease epidemic prevention and individual uniformity of products will increase by 12.3%,17.3%,18.3% and 17%.At the same time,organizational support also plays a strong role in promoting safety attributes.For every additional unit supported by the organization,the probability of aquaculturists in strictly implementing drug withdrawal,monitoring water quality,ensuring transportation and storage safety,participating in quality traceability will increase by 21.8%,23.9%,23% and 22.4%.These data fully reflect the fishery cooperation organization support promotes aquaculturists’ attention to green production behavior effectively.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the green production behavior of aquaculturists from the perspective of the fishery cooperative organization support,which is through strengthening the unified allocation of factors,ensuring the safety of aquaculture in the source,paying attention to the implementation of standard production,promoting fishery quality and efficiency,accelerating the promotion of green technology,realizing healthy aquaculture,improving organizational support and encouraging aquaculturists’ quality control.In addition,according to the existing shortcomings,the future research is prospected.The main innovation of this paper is reflected in three aspects.Firstly,it breaks through the traditional research perspective.In the absence of external incentives,aquaculturists rarely carry out green production spontaneously,and often choose to "wait and see" the results of others before taking action.At present,the research results of introducing the concept of organizational support into the green production of aquatic products are still relatively rare.This paper discusses the influence of participating in cooperative organizations on the green production behavior of aquaculturists,so as to find the theoretical evidence and implementation path of organizational support to improve the quality and safety of aquatic products,and further enrich the theoretical research of organizational support and quality control.Secondly,it makes up for the lack of data sources.Due to the lack of existing statistical data on fishery research and the lack of realistic samples of green production behavior of aquaculturists,it is difficult to obtain relevant research data on aquatic product production behavior through traditional methods such as single reference to various statistical yearbooks,which leads to the dilemma of insufficient data in the empirical part of this paper.Therefore,according to the research needs,this paper plans to carry out investigation and research on green production behavior of aquaculturists in Shandong and Zhejiang provinces,two major aquatic product breeding provinces,to further enrich the data of existing fishery research,and to better analyze the internal mechanism of production behavior.Thirdly,it lays the foundation for the establishment of the mechanism.Facing the reality that China’s fishery farming has been in the production of scattered small fishers for a long time,there are relatively few academic research results on the impact path and realization mechanism of organizing support to promote green production of aquaculturists.The research conclusions obtained through theoretical exploration and empirical analysis can provide some reference value and practical guidance for the establishment of micro incentive mechanism for green and healthy aquaculture of aquatic products in China.
