| In terms of experience,facts and policy design,agricultural socialized service is regarded as an effective path and strategic choice for small farmer households to organically connect with modern agriculture.It is a realistic starting point for improving agricultural green total factor productivity(AGTFP),and helps to promote agricultural and rural green development.Starting from the micro-subjects that account for an absolute proportion in the current agricultural production and operation forms,adhering to the concept of theoretical speculation,mutual test of practical actions and the idea of two-way support,the research is arranged according to the logical pattern of “problemsanalysis-solution”,follows the research method of “theoretical combing-practical investigation-mechanism analysis-empirical research-policy suggestions”,and comprehensively uses basic theories and model methods such as agricultural economics,resource and environmental economics and econometrics.First,based on the basic theory and literature review,the core concepts of the research are clarified,and focus on existing foundation,lack of attention and possible entry points of agricultural socialization services and AGTFP research.From the two-dimensional level of theory and practice,this dissertation carefully analyzes the internal mechanism and possible path of the impact of agricultural socialized services and AGTFP,from the perspective of farmer households’ factor endowment,and tries to construct a unified analysis framework;second,from the perspective of macroscopic reality and microscopic investigation,this dissertation deeply reveals the historical practice,evolution process,policy context and logical motivation of China’s agricultural socialized service,depicts the factual characteristics under the two-dimensional space-time,which provides basic support for further discussion;third,based on the national large-capacity matching database of CFPS of Peking University,this dissertation constructs the balanced short panel of sample farmer households,and measures and analyzes the agricultural socialized service,AGTFP level and temporal and spatial differences.By constructing a variety of rigorous and standardized measurement models,this dissertation investigates and analyzes the direct impact,regulation effect and impact path of agricultural socialized services on AGTFP from the perspective of farmer households’ factor endowment,and deeply carries out the rigorous empirical test.Finally,based on the above analysis and research,targeted policy recommendations are put forward to optimize the supply of agricultural socialized services,improve the level of AGTFP,and develop modern agriculture with high quality,striving to provide empirical evidence and theoretical basis for promoting supply-side structural reform,accelerating agricultural transformation and upgrading,and better continuing the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.The main research findings are as follows:First,from the perspective of factual characteristics,at the macro-supply level,since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,agricultural socialization services have gone through four stages of “breeding and germination,difficult exploration,rapid development,reform and innovation”.The reflection behind the evolution of the process is the external logic of the “scissors gap” between agricultural natural attributes and the market,the internal logic of the contradiction between agricultural technology demand and farmer households’ human capital,the institutional logic promoted by division of labor and cooperation and property right division,the fundamental motivation of household welfare maximization and advantage of service supply cost,and other reform logic and practice orientation.At the micro-demand level,the average social service level of the sample farmer households is 13.00%,and the overall trend is increasing gradually,but planting industry(13.09%)> part-time job type(9.39%)> animal husbandry(9.31%),and the middle(16.95%),the east(13.53%)and the west(9.74%)are gradually decreasing,with both agricultural employment and machinery leasing services(23.27%)> agricultural employment services(20.27%)>machinery leasing services(19.24%).Comprehensively judging,a trend will appear in the future: service content covering the whole process of the industry chain,service organization moving towards multi-level integration,service mode moving towards multi-dimensional platformization,and standardization of service standard construction.Second,from the analysis of AGTFP measurement at the farmer household level,the joint effect of green agricultural technology changes and green agricultural technology efficiency changes is the factor that causes for dynamic changes of AGTFP,and the impact of the latter is greater than that of the former.In terms of regional gaps,the overall trend is shrinking,with a drop of 22.32%,of which hyper-variable density is the main cause;in terms of intra-regional gaps,the east-west central region decreases in turn,and in the inter-regional gap,the east-west,east-central,and central-west gaps which is narrowing and synergy is increasing,but this gap is vulnerable to environmental factors.Third,from the impact of agricultural socialization services on AGTFP,agricultural socialization services will affect the input structure and quality of agricultural production factors of farmer households,will increase AGTFP by increasing positive output and reducing negative output.The total effect depends on the part with large force;under the goal of maximizing household utility,there is a“moderate boundary” for this effect.Empirical analysis based on large-scale samples shows that the overall effect of agricultural socialization services on AGTFP is in a“U”-shaped relationship,in which the effect of promoting decline is greater than that of promoting growth,and there is obvious heterogeneity in household head gender,village distance and regional environment.Fourth,from the perspective of the adjustment effect based on factor endowments,both the vertical level and the horizontal structure of farmer households have a moderating effect on the impact of agricultural socialization services and AGTFP.In terms of time series,the improvement effect of the comprehensive level of factor endowments of farmer households is not sustainable,showing the characteristics of dynamic fluctuation,and there are differences in the dimension of comparative advantage in different years.From the perspective of the threshold effect of the comprehensive level of farmer households’ factor endowments,the impact of agricultural socialization services on AGTFP depends on the comprehensive level value.Agricultural socialization services in different ranges of comprehensive levels have heterogeneous effects on AGTFP.From the perspective of the threshold effect of the factor endowment types of farmer households,there is a threshold effect on the impact of agricultural socialization services on AGTFP in the three groups of farmer households with natural endowments,economic endowments,and social endowments,while the effect of agricultural socialization services on the threshold of AGTFP did not appear in the two groups of farmer households with superior in human endowments and material endowment.Fifth,from the impact path of agricultural socialization services on AGTFP,agricultural socialization services may break the “glass curtain wall” of agricultural technology radiation and diffusion through direct transfer and indirect technology spillover effects,and affect the process bias of farmer households’ progress in green agricultural technology changes;it may eliminate “invisible barriers” through professional division of labor,scale management,factor substitution and institutional change effects,affecting farmer households’ green agricultural technology efficiency,and then jointly driving the improvement of AGTFP,while farmer households’ factor endowments and agricultural socialization services complement each other effect,which strengthens the lifting effect,and there is also a threshold for this effect.The agricultural socialization service reduces the difficulty of crossing the threshold value of agricultural socialization service through the adjustment effect of farmer households’ factor endowments,and provides a practical guarantee and long-term mechanism for the subsequent agricultural socialized services to improve AGTFP through the two paths of green agricultural technology efficiency change and green agricultural technology change.From the above conclusions,it is found that the following research suggestions are put forward from the perspective of policy inspiration: first,we need to deeply grasp the basic national conditions and agricultural conditions,and continue to accelerate the development of agricultural social services,which is in line with our country’s current national conditions and agricultural conditions,and can promote farmer households to increase income,save costs and increase efficiency,which is beneficial for farmer households to transform their agricultural production methods and accelerate the process of agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics.Second,we need to focus on improving the ability of farmer households,and continuously optimize the supply of agricultural social services through comprehensive implementation of action plans to serve farmer households and wealthy farmer households,and strengthen the resilience and sustainability of AGTFP growth.Third,we need to continue to promote agricultural and rural reforms,stably safeguard the vital interests of farmer households,continue to promote the deepening of the reform of “agriculture,rural areas and rural residents”,actively explore supporting reforms for farmer households,encourage the implementation of farmer households’ assistance and support actions,and insist on leading rural revitalization with green development,promote the green and high-quality development of modern agriculture.The possible innovations of this dissertation are as follows: First,in terms of research objects,based on the focus of farmer households,it makes up for the lack of micro-fields in AGTFP research to a certain extent,and helps to explore the efficiency of in-depth connection between small farmer households and modern agricultural development,providing micro-empirical evidence of reliability.Second,from the perspective of research,starting from the broad background of agricultural and rural modernization,it tries to incorporate agricultural socialization services and micro-level AGTFP into a unified analysis framework,and systematically analyzes the impact of agricultural socialization services on AGTFP.The difference of this effect among farmer households with different factor endowments enriches and expands the existing research topics to a certain extent.Third,in terms of research methods,based on the reasonable improvement and processing of micro-CFPS data,in terms of method exploration,variable definition,and model setting,it provides a new theoretical and practical perspective for the judgment of typical facts and the discussion of mechanism paths,which helps to standardize and enrich the basis of discussion.Fourth,in terms of research conclusions,the construction of balanced short-panel data through national large-capacity samples can effectively reduce the probability of endogenous bias,increase the objectivity and scientificity of research conclusions,and provide representative data support for enriching agricultural socialized services and AGTFP related research. |
