| Traditional dwellings in Hunan occupy an important chapter in the pedigree of traditional Chinese architecture, and the rural settlements it constitutes have typical regional characteristics. In the past, researches on traditional houses and villages in Hunan were mainly concentrated in areas inhabited by ethnic minorities in western Hunan. These areas are affected by the unique climate, topography, and culture, and the architectural forms and villages have distinctive features and are relatively wellpreserved. They have received extensive attention from many scholars. In contrast, research on traditional villages in other parts of Hunan has not yet produced systematic results. As an important hub in the south, the southern Hunan region also gathers a large number of historical villages, which have important research value and have gradually attracted the attention of academic circles in recent years. However, limited to the limitations of analytical techniques, the current research on traditional villages in this area mainly focuses on the qualitative discussion of residential building forms and technologies at the micro level,as well as the evolution of the village. However, there is still a gap in the study of the coupling mechanism between the two in spatial form.In response to this problem, this article is based on the existing literature in the research field of the traditional houses of the Han nationality in southern Hunan, combined with field investigations, based on the transformation of spatial cognition of contemporary village research as the theoretical basis, and spatial configuration analysis as the technical means,to carry out the analysis of the traditional villages in southern Hunan.Analysis of the characteristics of spatial form in configuration. At the same time,by coupling the quantitative indicators with the existing qualitative research conclusions, this article attempts to sort out the deep-seated relationship between the traditional village spatial configuration and the spatial evolution mechanism. The research is divided into five parts.First of all, this article systematically sorts out the important theoretical foundations that support the research technology framework, and expounds the impact of spatial cognition transformation on traditional village research from the perspectives of three important contemporary scientific thoughts: "spatial production","transformation",and "self-organization" At the same time, the study further elaborated the basic principles of spatial syntactic analysis and tools and their application potential in traditional village research. Then, this article selected 65 traditional Han villages that are relatively complete and authentic in the Chenzhou and Yongzhou areas of southern Hunan Province, and summarized and combed the original data of these villages one by one,and characterized the spatial form of these villages.Identify and establish a digital two-dimensional graphic information database. On this basis, this paper further analyzes the spatial form of the village, and analyzes the characteristics of the spatial configuration of the traditional village from the three perspectives of structure, humanity and function,in order to reveal the complex evolutionary system mechanism in the traditional village spatial system.Research on the protection and construction of traditional villages in my country and the research direction of spatial morphology provide guidance, and make up for the gaps in this research field in the traditional villages of the Han nationality in southern Hunan.`In order to achieve the integration of theory and practice, this study takes Dayangdong Village,Yongzhou City as an example, uses spatial syntax analysis to interpret the spatial shape and spatial configuration characteristics of the village, and combines Dayangdong Village’s own historical evolution. The extracted spatial features are used in the research on the protection and tourism development of the village space in Dayangdong Village, which fully verifies the dual value of this article between theory and practice. |
