| Traditional villages are an important carrier of China’s traditional building wisdom and folk cultural life, reflecting the ideas of habitat, ecological concepts and cultural heritage of different historical periods, and are an important part of China’s historical and cultural heritage protection system, with high historical, cultural, economic and scientific research values. As a region with early origins in China’s farming culture, traditional villages in southern Jinan are densely populated and have many remnants, and are influenced by the natural environment, economic development and social changes, resulting in unique spatial forms, architectural forms and regional landscape features.Among them, spatial form,as the main carrier and embodiment of traditional village habitat culture,is an important object for village conservation and development. However,in the context of rapid urbanisation, the countryside has begun to develop towards urbanisation, and some traditional villages have renewed and transformed their traditional spatial forms and functions in order to enhance the village living environment and adapt to industrial development, resulting in the incomplete preservation of the original village spatial forms, the weakening of the original style and the difficulty in continuing the heritage. The traditional villages in the Jinan region were selected as the object of study.Firstly, the spatial characteristics of the traditional villages in the Jinan region were investigated in three aspects: the natural spatial pattern at the macro level, the layout of the plan at the meso level and the building types at the micro level, using the field survey method and typology. The four categories of traditional villages in the Jinan area were: villages along the river, villages with stone houses, villages with kilns in the mountains, and villages with brick and tile houses.Secondly, taking the integrity of the traditional villages as the basic condition, the typical village samples of each type were selected, and the spatial morphological characteristics of the street network, street space, courtyard and architecture of different types of villages were extracted using the morphological type analysis method. Finally, based on the above research results, problems in the development of the spatial morphological characteristics of villages are identified, and strategies for the protection of the spatial morphology of traditional villages in southern Jinan are proposed, which will provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for the construction and protection of other traditional villages. The study records and improves the basic information of traditional villages in the southern Jin region, and combines morphological typology with quantitative analysis to classify traditional villages and extract spatial morphological prototypes, and propose conservation strategies for spatial morphology;it provides basic information and materials for the conservation of spatial morphology of different categories of traditional villages, and provides ideas for the conservation of the integrity of traditional villages, and can be used as the next step in rural planning and rural It also provides basic information and information for the conservation of the spatial forms of different types of traditional villages, and provides ideas for the conservation of the integrity of traditional villages. |
