| Supply chain is a network that connects all of the organizational departments to ensure that the work of the company is efficient and accurate.Every organization’s leader is in charge of managing the supply chain network both domestically and globally.The vision of a successful organization cannot come true if planning and strategies are not in the organization’s favor.For instance,businesses in the airline industry must manage with supply and demand,production and distribution,logistics,inventory,and procurement.The business climate,the process of globalization,and new information management technologies had altered inter-company connections and promoted integrated supply chain management to preserve competitiveness.Therefore,in this research work,potentials for efficient supply chain processes for performance improvement in distinct eneterprises around the globe have been extracted and implemented.That is,supply chain process of airline industry,logistics of natural gas industry and supply chain agility of manufacturing industries are taken into account in this study.First of all,this paper aims to propose the improvement in the field of business process improvement(BPI)and supply chain management(SCM)processes in international airline industry.In the aviation sector,supply chain management is critical for reducing operating costs.The performance of a corporation is determined by how successfully it implements supply chain strategy.Application of efficient SCM has dramatically changed the way organizations conduct business by implementing procedures that can improve process efficiency,reduce costs,and improve the organization’s performance.This paper leads to formulate the concept of effective model of SCM process for Pakistan Int.Airlines(PIA)taken as an example and obtained results can be implemented on any international airline as well.BPI provides the competent strategies for the target organization keeping in view the implementation of proposed SCM model.Simulation analysis is executed using ARENA software tool to analyze the performance of the proposed model.T-test has been taken into account to demonstrate the competency of the proposed SCM model.It is observed that the implementation of effective business techniques in the SCM process can lead to enhance the efficiency of target organization.Secondly,this paper deals with the challenges,opportunities and future prospects associated with the supply chain of liquefied natural gas(LNG)industry.In the current energy challenges,natural gas(NG)has been emerged as eco-friendly source of energy with abundance of offshore and onshore reserves.Due to economic infeasibility of NG transportation via pipelines to far-off destinations,LNG has become one of the most promising candidates to transport NG around the globe.However,multiform distribution of NG reservoirs and geographical constraints among LNG exporters and importers emerged the cost-intensive challenges regarding LNG supply chains.In this research work,nature of current challenges like remote locations,cost escalations,LNG storage,scheduling and price convergence were identified.On the basis of identified issues,energy saving opportunities have been established in LNG supply chain.Design optimization of LNG process contributes to extract the energy saving opportunities and usage of jettyless LNG transfer concept is utilized for cost savings.Moreover,a way forward has been paved for possible improvements in the distinct contents of LNG supply chain.Finally,this paper aims to determine the relationships between supply chain agility(SCA)in different directions and operations of the firms operating in emerging nations.An additional objective of this paper is to establish the mediating role of innovative climate in the specific domain.The quantitative field study was conducted on a sample of different SME’s managers of Pakistan;200 surveys were distributed and search engine marketing(SEM)technique was utilized to analyze the outcome.Several factors of SCA of supply chain have been taken into consideration to determine the links of supply chain performance(SCP)and to ascertain the effects of SCP and SCA.SCA factors like swiftness(FAWC)and alertness(FASC)were utilized to establish those linkages towards SCP along with mediating role of innovative climate.On the basis of calculations,it was observed that there is positive linkage between FASC and SCP.The linkage of FSWC was also found positive on SCP.Therefore,this study ascertains the fact that FAWC and FASC contain positive connections with the SCP having with positive mediating influence of innovative climate in the domain or Pakistan.This paper contributed to establish the fact that innovative climate positively mediate the relationships between FAWC and SCP of the organizations as well as between FASC and SCP,respectively.Such findings confirm the significance of innovative climate in the organizations which further support to achieve the organization SCP. |
