Jinci is located at the foothills of Xuanweng Mountain,25 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan. It is the earliest existing royal sacrificial garden in China and the oldest and largest ancestral temple-style ancient garden in China. The Temple of Goddess Mother Hall is the main hall of the whole temple. It was built in the ninth year of Taiping Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty(984).It is the earliest example of the "Fu Jie Zhou Za",which provided the data for the compilation of "Ying Zao Fa Shi".It has a pivotal position in the history of Chinese architecture. It is a model of architecture in the Song Dynasty. The building has double eaves on the top of the mountain, seven rooms wide, six rooms deep, two rooms on the front porch, and roundabouts on the sub-steps.The structure is unique and has extremely high value. The Goddess Mother Hall is backed by the Xuanweng Mountain and faces the flying beams of the fish marsh. The architectural environment is unique. In 1993,due to the serious damage to the building components of the Goddess Mother Hall, the overall body of the hall had an obvious tendency to tilt forward, and part of the building structure had become unstable.Replacement or repair of wooden components. However, the environment of Goddess Mother Hall is complex, and some components have problems such as weathering and cracking.Among them,Dou-Gong,as the key node of the beams and columns of Goddess Mother Hall, has problems such as skew and wood decay as a whole.Such problems will become more and more serious with time.It will disturb and damage the overall structure of the building. The previous research results mostly focus on the structural and mechanical properties of official buildings and individual local wooden buildings. There is no related research on the mechanical properties of the Goddess Mother Hall, and there is a lack of research on seismic performance that integrates the actual structural characteristics of ancient buildings and environmental factors. Therefore, this paper comprehensively analyzes the building structure and the occurrence environment of the Dou-Gong of the Goddess Mother Hall and deeply studies the seismic performance and protection method of the Dou-Gong of the Goddess Mother Hall. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Based on the field research and literature review, analyze the architectural structure and the structure of the Dou-Gong in Goddess Mother Hall, and sort out the arrangement of beams,Dou-Ggongs,and column nets in the Goddess Mother Hall. The main types of Dou-Gong in Goddess Mother Hall are summarized into 8 types and combined with the beam frame structure, the bearing characteristics of typical Dou-Gong in Goddess Mother Hall are summarized.(2)Through the actual measurement and finite element software simulation, the underground environment and foundation settlement of the Goddess Mother Hall are analyzed, and it is speculated that the Goddess Mother Hall still tends to incline to the southeast, which leads to the easy inclination of the front eaves of the Goddess Mother Hall and the increase of the vertical load.By analyzing the monitoring results of the ground environment of the Goddess Mother Hall,it was concluded that the temperature and humidity of the ground environment of the Goddess Mother Hall changed drastically, the light intensity was large, the exposed bucket members were prone to decay and aging, and the bucket on the west side of the Goddess Mother Hall was more prone to aging.(3)based on the study of the Dou-Gong structure and the Dou-Gong’s occurrence environment, the Dou-Gong on the front eaves and column head of the Goddess Mother Hall was selected as the weakest point of the structure and determined as the research object of the mechanical test.On the basis of the force transmission path, two vertical monotonic loading tests of the same bucket were carried out,and the vertical stiffness model of the bucket at the front eaves and capitals of the Goddess Mother Hall was obtained. The results show that: the bucket has a good vertical bearing capacity and can play a good shock-absorbing and buffering effect;the stiffness of the bucket increases in the elastic stage of secondary vertical loading, which is about 107% of the first time. The loading yield load is 64% of the actual vertical load.the analysis of the strain data under vertical loading shows that the vertical load transfer of buckets tends to increase from top to bottom and from jumping to the center.(4)Under the same conditions as the vertical monotonic loading test, the horizontal reciprocating loading was carried out on the two groups of buckets under the actual vertical load respectively, and the hysteretic curve, skeleton curve,Stiffness degradation curves, and viscous damping coefficients. The results show that the bucket has good seismic performance. The horizontal stiffness of the bucket in the pulling direction is about 89% of that in the thrust direction, and the curve is asymmetric.Under the action of 18 k N vertical load, the bucket horizontal stiffness, energy dissipation performance, and damage degree are all good than9 k N.(5)Abaqus was used to simulate the vertical monotonic loading and horizontal reciprocating loading of the front eaves and column caps of the buffering. The simulation results were consistent with the test results, which verified the rationality of the simulation results and the test results.(6)Statistical analysis of the damage status of the Dou-Gong of Goddess Mother Hall, combined with the test and finite element simulation results,it is judged that the front and rear Dou-Gong are seriously damaged.and the first and second floors of the dowels and the interactive dowels, lings, and second floors are more damaged.Components with a high degree of exposure, such as Hua-Gong,are vulnerable components of Dou-Gong.Aiming at the vulnerable Dou-Gongs and vulnerable components of the Goddess Mother Hall, combined with the distribution location of Dou-Gongs and the actual damage form, corresponding protection measures are put forward for the reinforcement and monitoring of Dou-Gongs in the Goddess Mother Hall of Jinci.
