Land ecological security is the basis of regional ecological security and essential part of Ecological Civilization Construction.Land ecosystem system and economic development system are independent and mutually influenced.Only through mutual coordination and promotion can sustainable development be effectively promoted.Since China’s economic development has entered a period of new normal,high-quality development has become the future direction of economic and social development.The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is one of the three world-class urban agglomerations,which is an important platform for participating in international competition and cooperation.High-quality economic development is the basis of improving the coordinated development level of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and building a world-class urban agglomeration.However,the unbalanced economic structure,great difference in social security,lack of water,and land degradation seriously constrain high-quality economic development and land ecological security in the region.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to carry out the evaluation of land ecological security and high-quality economic development as well as the coupling coordination research in Beijing-TianjinHebei region to promote regional sustainable development.Based on the Coupling Coordination Theory,System Theory,Ecological Carrying Capacity Theory and Economic Growth Stage Theory,this thesis established the research framework of “system level evaluation-coupling mechanism demonstration-coupling and coordination relationship measurement-coordination path analysis” on the basis of the coupling theoretical analysis between land ecological security and high-quality economic development.In particular,the research on the evaluation of land ecological security and high-quality economic development and their coupling coordination relationship was conducted across macro-meso-micro scales.Firstly,this thesis constructed the evaluation index system of land ecological security and regional high-quality development from the perspective of regional coordinated development,and evaluated the development level and the obstacle factors of the two systems in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from 2007 to2018,by applying entropy weight TOPSIS model and factor obstacle model.Secondly,the interactive response relationship and spatial correlation effect between land ecological security and high-quality economic development was analyzed using the PVAR and bivariate spatial autocorrelation models,while the coupling mechanism between land ecological security and high-quality economic development was also explored.Thirdly,this thesis calculated the coupling degree and coordination degree by applying the coupling coordination model and the dispersion coordination model,analyzed the temporal and spatial trends of coupling stage and coordination relationship.Finally,this thesis divided the types of regional coordinated development by the relative development model,considering the regional coupling stage,coordination relationship and development type,integrated the regional coupling stages,coordination relations and development types,and defined the regional composite types.On this basis,it studied and judged the development path of the region,and put forward specific policy recommendations.The main research results and conclusions of this paper as follows:(1)The security level of the land ecosystem continued to improve.The evaluation results of land ecological security from 2007 to 2018 show that the overall safety index rose from 0.1934 to 0.3284,the municipal safety index rose from 0.1726~0.3744 to0.2032~0.8040,and the county safety index in 2018 was between 0.0560 and 0.6694.Each subsystem has also been improved,and the order of contribution rate was: response subsystem > status subsystem > pressure subsystem.The sensitivity level was the main one within the region,and the internal difference increased with time.With the increase from macro to micro scale,spatial heterogeneity became more apparent.The spatial pattern of "center > periphery" appeared at the municipal level,while the spatial pattern of "central >northern > southern" appeared at the county level.The identified seven main obstacle factors were land economic density,transportation,warehousing and postal investment per unit land area,per capita GDP,tertiary industry ratio,cultivated land ratio,the usage of fertilizer per unit cultivated area,and green coverage of urban built-up areas.(2)The overall trend of high-quality economic development was positive.The evaluation results of high-quality economic development from 2007 to 2018 show that the overall development index increased from 0.2578 to 0.3517,the municipal development index increased from 0.09~0.40 to 0.14~0.62,and the county development index in 2018 was between 0.0321 and 0.7979.The level of shared development,green development and innovative development increased,while the level of coordinated development and open development decreased.The contribution rate of each subsystem was in the following order:innovative development>shared development>green development>open development>coordinated development.The difference within the region increased slightly,and the spatial distribution pattern was "center > periphery".The seven main obstacle factors were the number of patents authorized per 10000 people,demand structure,regional structure,R&D investment intensity,the proportion of foreign investment,the proportion of workers’ remuneration,and the degree of financial development.(3)Land ecological security played a key role in ensuring food security,high-quality production factors and ecological wealth appreciation carrier for high-quality economic development,which itself influenced source control,economic foundation and institutional supply for land ecological security.The empirical study of coupling mechanism shows that there was a long-term and stable equilibrium relationship between the two systems in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,and both could develop dynamically.Land ecological security had an obvious supporting effect on high-quality economic development,which in reverse had a certain positive pulling effect on land ecological security,but the effect was not obvious.In addition,there was a significant positive spatial correlation between the two systems.(4)Land ecological security and high-quality economic development were mostly at a high coupling stage for the investigated scales.With the increase in scale,the spatial heterogeneity of the coupling stage became more and more apparent.The overall coupling degree of the two systems increased from 0.9898 to 0.9994,which was in the high coupling stage.The municipal coupling degree of the two systems was between 0.92 and 1.00,which was also in the high coupling stage.The county coupling degree of the two systems was between 0.7273 and 1.0000,most areas were in the high coupling stage,while some areas were in the running in stage.(5)The coordinated relationship between land ecological security and high-quality economic development continued to improve.With the refinement in scale,the spatial heterogeneity of the coordination relationship was obvious.The coordination results of the two systems from 2007 to 2018 show that the overall coordination degree of the two systems increased from 0.4059 to 0.4978,which was on the verge of imbalance.The municipal coordination degree of the two systems increased from 0.2301~0.5310 to 0.3566~0.7209.Most of them were in the relationship of mild imbalance and near imbalance,and the spatial distribution pattern was "center > periphery".The county coordination degree of the two systems in 2018 was between 0.1922 and 0.6268,and the coordination relationship included six types: reluctant coordination,primary coordination,near imbalance,mild imbalance,moderate imbalance and serious imbalance,and the spatial distribution pattern was "center >periphery".(6)As a whole,the development type of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region was mainly "high-quality economic development lagging type",followed by "land ecological security lagging type".The complex types of coupled and coordinated development included eight categories,of which "the high coupling-imbalance recession-economic high quality development lag type(IVSD)" was the most widely distributed.It included 152 counties(districts and cities),accounting for 76.00% in number and 59.02% in area.(7)Based on the research results,the article proposed pertinently that regional development path was dominated by "high-quality economic development promoting leading regulation type" and less by "land ecological security improving leading regulation type".Among them,the development proposal of "high-quality economic development promoting leading regulation type" included five aspects: comprehensively improving innovation capacity,promoting coordinated regional development,forming a new pattern of opening up,accelerating green and shared development,and implementing differentiated development plans.The development proposal of "land ecological security improving leading regulation type" included six aspects: establishing a coordinated development system and mechanism,optimizing the spatial layout of population,promoting the integrated development of industry,optimizing the comprehensive transportation network,strengthening land ecological protection,and orderly improving the level of land ecological security.
