As an indispensable part of animal husbandry, pig farming is not only the key project of the vegetable basket project, but also an important way to increase farmers’ income.China’s pig industry has an obvious geographical agglomeration, and its pig production and pork production rank first in the world for many years.Although China has become a big pig breeding country,it has not become a powerful pig breeding country,Compared with developed countries, pig breeding in China has higher cost and increasingly serious environmental pollution problems.Reasonable solution to these problems will affect the future development of China’s pig breeding.Changing the development mode mainly relying on factor input in traditional production and improving the green total factor productivity of pig breeding is the key.The increase of regional pig farmers will attract the concentration of feed, labor, energy and other production factors. The division of labor and cooperation, information exchange and communication between pig raising enterprises and their upstream and downstream enterprises can reduce the production cost of pork products per unit and improve the production efficiency of pig breeding.Based on this,This paper explores the impact of pig industry agglomeration on the green total factor productivity of pig breeding, and hopes to provide valuable conclusions.Based on the theory of industrial agglomeration and total factor productivity, this paper analyzes the mechanism of pig industry agglomeration on green total factor productivity of pig breeding, and measures the agglomeration degree of pig industry by using spatial Gini coefficient, industrial concentration rate and improved location entropy,By using super efficiency SBM model and Malmquist Luenberger index, this paper evaluates and analyzes the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of pig breeding efficiency and green total factor productivity of pig breeding from static and dynamic perspectives, and empirically analyzes the nonlinear effect and spatial spillover effect of pig industry agglomeration on green total factor productivity of pig breeding,Finally, some policy suggestions are put forward on how to improve the green total factor productivity of pig breeding.Based on this, the following conclusions are drawnChina’s pig industry has a significant geographical agglomeration characteristics.Pig breeding is concentrated in the south of China, mainly by individual farmers. However, the individual pig breeding is declining slowly and the scale of pig breeding is gradually increasing. The agglomeration degree of pig industry presents a "rise and fall" phase change trend. The effect of geographical agglomeration is obvious. The pig industry in key development areas and restricted development areas is gradually transferred,Potential growth area will become the future growth point of pig industry.Taking the "huhuanyong line" as the boundary, the degree of urban agglomeration in the East is generally higher than that in the West. There are regional differences in green total factor productivity of pig breeding in China. From the static point of view, the annual average of technical efficiency of pig breeding is 0.894,showing a "decline rise" trend, and the technical efficiency of small-scale pig breeding is the highest; There are obvious regional differences in the technical efficiency of aquaculture. The eastern and central regions are suitable for the development of small-scale aquaculture, while the western region is suitable for the development of medium-sized aquaculture. From the dynamic point of view, the average annual growth rate of green total factor productivity of pig breeding is 2.3%,showing a "up-down" cyclical fluctuation, which mainly depends on the growth of technological progress(1.7%);The green total factor productivity index of pig breeding ranked as follows: Eastern(3.1%)> Central(1.9%)>western(1.7%),key development area(2.6%)> restricted development area(2.3%)>moderate development area(2.2%)> potential growth area(2.0%);There are obvious regional differences and scale advantages in green total factor productivity of pig breeding.Guangdong,Zhejiang,Jiangsu and other eastern coastal areas are suitable for the development of free range and medium-sized pig breeding.Heilongjiang and other central and northern provinces are suitable for the development of large-scale pig breeding.Anhui,Hubei and other central and southern provinces are mainly hilly areas,Medium and small-sized pig breeding areas in central and western regions of Yunnan are suitable for large-scale pig breeding development. There is a nonlinear relationship between the concentration of pig industry and the green total factor productivity of pig breeding.Firstly, the least square method, fixed effect and random effect were used to analyze the effect of pig industry agglomeration on promoting green total factor productivity of pig breeding; Then, the nonlinear relationship between pig industry agglomeration and green total factor productivity of pig breeding is analyzed by generalized moment estimation. It is found that there is a non-linear relationship between the concentration of pig industry and the green total productivity of pig breeding. At present, the agglomeration of pig industry in most cities of China can promote the green total factor productivity of pig breeding. The agglomeration of pig industry and the green total factor productivity of pig breeding present nonlinear spatial spillover effect.Through the test of spatial econometric model, the spatial Durbin model with double fixed effect was finally selected. It was found that the impact of pig industry agglomeration on green total factor productivity of pig breeding also had nonlinear relationship in the spatial econometric model, and there were differences in time.Specifically,in the short term, there is a non-linear relationship between the concentration of pig industry and the green total factor productivity of pig breeding in the local and adjacent areas. In the long term, there is a non-linear relationship between the concentration of pig industry and the green total factor productivity of pig breeding, but there is no obvious spatial spillover effect.
