Research On Ethics Of Food And Drug Safety Issues In Contemporary China

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,food and drug safety issues have always been the important livelihood issues that the government focuses on.Comrade Xi Jinping,general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President of the State Council,has repeatedly emphasized that the responsibility of food and drug safety is weightier than Mount Tai.Meanwhile,food and drug safety issues are ethical issues as well as “popularity-winning” projects.2021 marks the100 th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.We have achieved our first centenary goal and built a moderately prosperous society in all respects on the Divine land of China.Food and drug safety situation is gradually improving with the overall improvement of industry level.The supervision system has been gradually improved and the legal system has matured steadily at the same time.The national food and drug safety situation is generally guaranteed.However,the national food and drug safety situation is still unfavorable fundamentally.There are problems to be solved in many aspects.This paper is based on the economic and social development of contemporary China to study on food and drug safety issues from the perspective of ethics.When we want to comprehensively analyze food and drug safety issues in China,we should base on the basic logical idea of discovering,analyzing and solving problems.When we want to analyze the stakeholders of food and drug industry thoroughly,we should take Marxist ethics as the main guiding ideology.To construct the ethic system of food and drug safety in China,we should carry out socialist theories with Chinese characteristics profoundly.In addition to the introduction,this paper is divided into four parts:Part 1 is the basic concepts and ethical basis of food and drug safety issues in China.There are several aspects to prepare to study on food and drug safety issues in China.First of all,we should clarify the academic terms of food,drugs and food and drug safety.We must give a clear and accurate range of food and drug safety issues,which would be throughout the full paper.And clarify the similarities and differences between food safety and drug safety.Then,establishing the ethical connotation of food and drug safety is the necessary basis of ethical analysis in the following paper.At the same time,it is important to take Marxist ethics as the main guiding ideology of the full paper.It is also meaningful to combine with the development of Chinese traditional ethics and realistic development in China.There are lots of excellent theoretical achievements and effective regulatory experience in western ethics and countries to learn from too.This paper is indisputably based on the combination of theory and practice.Part 2 is the investigation of the current situation of food and drug safety issues in contemporary China.There is no doubt that food and drug safety situation in China has been in a stable and improving state.Consumer satisfaction is also rising year by year.However,food and drug safety issues still exist and cannot be ignored.Over the past decade,various food and drug safety incidents have never stopped happening.Due to many reasons,transgenic technology is still controversial.The market of fake drugs and vaccines is endless and unpredictable despite repeated prohibitions.There is a deep misunderstanding of food additives and a mentality of resistance among people.The impact of drug-induced damage cannot be underestimated,but it is still ignored.After sorting and summarizing,we can summarize and analyze the direct causes of food and drug safety issues in China from these seemingly unrelated issues.There are just about three stakeholders in the food and drug industry: production and sales parties,supervision and management parties,and consumers.Whether they strive to maintain balance or compete with each other,the results will be ultimately reflected in the market order.It is necessary to analyze the food and drug safety situation.If the interests of producers drive the alienation of technology,or regulators are inefficient and the regulatory mechanism is not perfect.It will directly lead to the occurrence of food and drug safety issues.The same thing will happen in the same measure.If there is difficult for consumers to obtain information,or the market order is difficult to maintain.Part 3 is the ethical analysis of food and drug safety issues in contemporary China.Since it has been explicit that the direct causes of food and drug safety problems focus on food and drug stakeholders,there is a clear direction when in-depth analysis of the problem.The first is to conduct an ethical analysis of the food and drugs themselves.When food and drugs enter the market,they change from general products to social existence with social attributes.So they have their own ethical demands in the circulation process.Food and drugs carry the value of life,contain moral contract and political conscience.The ethical attributes of their ontology are closely related to the ethical positions of stakeholders.Secondly,there is an ethical analysis of the producer,which also named the enterprise.It discusses the enterprise ethics,enterprise behavior and enterprise benefits from three different perspectives.It is also probable to explore the balance between economic development and moral construction.At the same time,analyzing consumers who have the main consumption behavior in the market is actually analyzing the ethical attributes of “human” in the consumption process.We have to distinguish the concept of consumer ethics from ethical consumption.Because the need of“human” determines human’s social existence,we continue to examine human ethics according to Marx’s needs theory.There are rich humanistic thoughts in Marx’s “realistic individual” theory.We can combine the thoughts with reality to realize the analysis of the pursuit of consumer ethics.Finally,various sectors of society also play different roles in the regulatory system,which are the supervisor of food and drug safety assurance.The most typical three parties are government functional departments,media and social non-profit organizations.We can clarify the ethical regulations of the supervisor through the ethical analysis of the above three.Part 4 is the ethical construction of food and drug safety in contemporary China.Based on the above,this part puts forward corresponding solutions and suggestions for food and drug safety issues in China from the perspective of ethics.We want to construct food and drug safety ethics system in China through the guidance of socialist theories with Chinese characteristics.Then we can propose the concept of construction,principles,mechanisms and main content.When we are going to construct this ethical system,we should take the stakeholders as the main construction object.Only in this way,we can put forward reasonable ethical construction ideas and schemes for producers,regulators and consumers.First of all,as the largest socialist country in the world,we must clarify the basic construction concept of “people-centered” in contemporary Chinese food and drug safety ethics.It is undoubtedly necessary to take “people-centered” as the starting point,focus and foothold of food and drug production.Secondly,according to the previous ethical analysis of food and drug,the establishment of the contemporary Chinese food and drug safety ethical system should be based on the principle of four aspects.They are as follows: ensuring the value of life,maintaining the basic harmless principle,promoting people’s health and abiding by international moral principles.In addition,we try to start from all links that may lead to food and drug safety issues to build the construction mechanism.So there are three aspects in Chinese food and drug safety ethics construction mechanism.Before the product goes on the market,we have the comprehensive prevention mechanism.When the issues occur,we can use the in-depth self-examination mechanism to check timely.Even after the issues,we still have the error correction mechanism.Finally,the main content of constructing the contemporary Chinese food and drug safety ethics system is also reflected in the three main aspects of production,supervision and consumption.Therefore,we should establish a perfect market credit system in production,establish standard and comprehensive supervision ethics in supervision,and build a reasonable consumption concept for consumers in consumption.Then they can influence each other and spare no effort to maintain the market order.Only so all of the society can jointly make their own contributions to the construction of Chinese food and drug safety ethics system.
